What do the bard songs actually do?

I cannot seem to remember what the part song actually does in this game.

    The kitless and blade bardsong is basically just an anti-fear effect. It removes fear and prevents it from taking effect.

    I think it provides a luck and saving throw bonus too?

    Nope it doesn't, just checked. Rogue Rebalancing gives the song a bonus to hit and saves. Vanilla is just a glorified resist fear. That's... really poor.

    WOAH!!! Actually I just checked the beta for 2.0 and it turns out that the bard song DOES give a +1 luck bonus!

    Edit: Just to be clear, I am pretty sure this is not a new feature of 2.0 and has been a part of the bard song the whole time. The thing is that the default bard song was externalized in 2.0 so now I can actually view it in NI and see exactly what it does (which I couldn't do before).

    Yeah, vanilla bonuses are kind of weak... One reason that RR is essential for me. :)
