Hi there. My apologies for necroing a post from 7 years ago, but I felt it imperative to make my contribution to this thread. Upon scrolling through all 15 pages of it, I was genuinely surprised that no one seemed to mention the music that was featured on a popular cop show back in the day. After all, what true 80's experience would be complete without Miami Vice? Here are 4 songs that I know were featured on episodes throughout the iconic series. Fun fact: Both artists featured in this post were guest stars. Thank you.

Okay, another contribution and I'm done. On August 5, 1984, the band Queensrÿche performed live at the Nihon Seinen-Kan in Tokyo, Japan. The recorded live performance was the second of two shows in the same day. One of the songs on the set list was a "song of hope". It has been hailed as arguably the best live rock/metal performance ever. Vocal coaches have reacted to it. Music teachers have reacted to it. Both amateur and opera singers have reacted to it. All of them can agree Geoff Tate's vocal talents and technical skills were fantastic at that time. Chris DeGarmo's ability to harmonize with Tate in his range was a feat unto itself and should not be overlooked. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all Take Hold of the Flame. \m/
