If you haven't rebooted since install please can you try that. If you still have the same issue could you run dxdiag e.g. from a CMD window, save all information and attach the results here please. Also advise whether this is a Steam, Beamdog or GoG purchase.
Thanks
1. Set alternate renderer.
Options -> Graphics -> Alternate renderer (presumably it is currently disabled). Once set you need to click Done -> Quit Game -> Quit, then restart the game.
2. Zip and attach a save from before the crash so we can see if there is anything specific to it.
3. Check if there is a crash report in your documents/infinity engine - enhanced edition with a time matching your latest crash. Zip and attach that file if there is one.
Thanks
As a first step, I've run through the meeting with Gaelan to confirm the save plays through. Having done that, I made another save which you may be able to use to continue while we investigate. Let us know whether it works.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows 7 - 64
(and according to your DXDiag file, there are more current drivers available at AMD)
I'd say it is worth using the "verify integrity of game cache" in Steam (to be found from a right click of the game in Steam, click properties then local files).
Please zip & attach a save.
Is this single player or multiplayer.
Language (English?)
Was the game started on the current build.
Do you have any mods installed.
What platform (pc/mac/linux).
Where did you purchase from (Beamdog, Steam, GoG).
If Beamdog can you right click the game in the launcher, go to game location and delete the 783.beam and 783.status files then close and restart the launcher so your install is re-checked.
If Steam can you verify the integrity of cache (right click game -> properties -> local files).
Thanks
- I play single player
- in English
- I started it with the latest patch
- I have no mods installed
- using a PC
- purchased it on GoG
- Using Win 10 if that's in any way relevant
I really hope there's a workaround for this or that it get's adressed in a possible upcoming patch.
Thanks in advance for any help
Could you check the attached save with a) the Copper Coronet and b) Gaelan Bayle's house please.
Thanks in advance
I used your savegame but I can't enter Gaelan's House, the Copper Coronet or any other building.
If I try to leave the area, the game crashes.
I can only interact with barrels, doors and talk to npcs.
Please could you try installing this alongside directx 11, link is https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
Thanks
(you were going back to 1.3 but I'm hoping the below is clear enough to follow).
Press Windows key and R key to open the Run window, type dxdiag and click OK
Click 'save all information' to save a text file output
Select 'desktop' on the left then click save
Resize your browser window so you can see the desktop and the browser together
drag the dxdiag.txt file into the browser 'leave a comment' window.
Thanks
