HORRIBLE translation

Hi everyone. I didn't found an other topic about that issue, nor do i know if that's the best suited place for this topic.
But I restarted a new game today, and oh dear god, some word which were correct, got changed to totally wrong one.
The one that literraly made me throw up :
During creation of character : page of stat rolling -> the word "garder" (to keep -to save the stat you just rolled-) has been replaced by "magasin" (basically shop, the closest thing to "garder" would be a very special case in which "magasin" mean the little part in wich ammunition are stocked in your gun, but I think that not even 20% of french speaker know that "magasin" has an other meaning than shop.
I notice several other mistake of what were previously well translated. But holy shit what is happening ?
I want to add that i don't have any mod installed, and i was also suggesting you to check in other language if such horrible shit happened recently.
Edit: in my case it's french translation

I think that something went wrong when Beamdog exported the UI strings (I do not know who translated the strings, but I suspect that the final result is not good; it's like they used Google Translator).
Perhaps @Graoumf or @Isaya can fix all the wrong translations?
Btw i just tested, and even google translation isn't making this mistake.
This patch by @Isaya should correct a lot of errors in translation, in this case replacing "Garder"/"Magasin" by "Mémoriser".
It seems however that the interface translations are disabled in this version because 2.1 offers another, conflicting update to interace translations, which I suppose is the one that mistranslated the value of "STORE_BUTTON" to "Magasin". As such, you might have to install that part by hand.
However, if you were to use it here, you'd have to use it aswell for writting spell in your book (to stay coherent), which would ofc be weird, as "memoriser" is already used for the spell you want to cast.
Well, at least "memoriser" isn't bad to the point it urges us to throw up, but not as good as "garder" here.
Anyway, thx for the infos chnapy

About Isaya's patch, yes he disabled his interface translations to avoid conflicts with translations provided to Beamdog by someone else.
But @Isaya is working with @Armancia on the update of this patch. It will provide a full translation of BGEE in a near future (they're currently proofreading their common work), and then they will provide new strings to the next patch of Beamdog.
It may seem that Magasin is a very bad translation but you obsviously have no idea about the material people get to translate. Let me enlighen you on this specific case.
Suppose you are given to translate: how would you translate both? After all this game interface includes ingame store and has a button to keep dice rolls. Additionnally the game on Android and iOS allows you to purchase DLC through an online store.
While you can ask the devs about the context, the most efficient way is to be able to test in game (would you ask about 600 contexts?), which was not always possible until the patch became available.
In some cases, button and label grouped like this refer to the same topic, but in this case, that's just a trap. The right translation is: As you can see, Magasin is the right way to translate one of those. The question is how would you know firsthand?
I chose "Mémoriser" because the buttons in character creation remind me of calculators allowing to store one calculation and recall it later.
I don't think we need to maintain be similarity with spells, where the terms are linked to the way magic works in the game system. Fortunately words have a different meaning depending on context.
If you need some info about the UI strings (what is their meaning, where they are displayed and such), you can count on me. You can poke me every time you have some doubts. Just ask and I will gladly give you all the info you need
When I started working on this translation, I didn't have access to this section and I discovered the use of the LUA file when Near Infinity was updated to read the new file types during the 2.0 beta. And I didn't know someone else had been mandated by Beamdog to translate the file that was added included in V2.1.
Now I can maintain the file directly in the translation tool and I don't have to wait for releases to update it.
