Already got the manuals downloaded - looking through the stats right now to see what needs to be updated. Where stats are the same as BG1, no changes will be made. Where stats have changed (ie: I can already see temple donation amounts have changed), I will create an extra column or whatever.
Hopefully I'll have enough time in the next few days to push out a new update before release!
@PalaNIN: I saw there's a column for the chance of resurrection survival depending on CON. This was in the old manual, but never implemented in the game, neither is it implemented in the new game. You can see in the BGEE manual linked above, there no longer is a column for it under CON> you can delete it from your app as well (resurrection is always secure, there is no chance of failure).

Thanks; always much easier to delete information than add it. This is done, and will be incorporated in the next update. I'll aim for an update on the 27th sometime, and push as many changes as possible in before then.
I've almost finished incorporating all the details of the classes and kits (ie: all the stuff that the BG2 manual skips over), so this will help when creating a character in BGEE. I'm going to attempt to put the wild surge table in for Wild Mages, but considering there are 100 lines in there, I can't promise that it'll be ready for the BGEE launch update.
Other than that, I'll try and get around to the race traits list and then onto multiclass options.
has been so long since I checked... interesting the latest updates:
1.5.3 - reputation info (starting score, temple donations, item cost discounts, NPC/character reactions - bard spell progression - thieving skill modifiers (incl dexterity and racial mods) - tiny ongoing style fixes 1.5.2 - basic weapon and armor stats - wizard specialist stats (including opposition schools!) - more backend optimisation and style consistency work - started work on alternate layouts for landscape views (main three screens only) - top bar menu
Hi everyone, just pushed out an update which includes the following:
- Blackguard & Wild Mage classes, other class ability details - Race traits - Wild Mage wild surge table - tables should not go past screen width on smaller devices (hopefully) - usual small improvements
There's always more things to add but I only have so much free time to spare each week. I'm keen to hear how people use the app, and in which situations.
If it has been *this* long since the app was released to apple for verification then I doubt it is ever going to come out on IOS, unless the developer hasn't released it to apple yet for the store, in which case: DO SO!

What are you talking about? This is an android app created by PalaNIN, an apple version hasnt been made as far as we know.

Thats exactly right. It is a lot easier said than done to just push out an iOS app. For starters, I'd need to actually buy a Mac, something I don't have the money for and definitely don't need.
Its very handy indeed, but i find few things missing (races for instance) so...having a new BG:EE manual is much better. Anyway the game is coming out tommorow so finally no need to read about the game, but pure play-joy:)
it's not bad, quite useful as an offline-reference. But if you want to get some more info, http://playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Baldur's_Gate is probably still one of the best references for character creation/progression.Or if you want tips for gameplay, gamebanshee has got an awesome page too.
@Southpaw I like it as you say, an offline general reference. While it doesn't give you any tips or suggestions on the game, it does provide you with useful information about the races, classes and level progression.
I installed the App based on reading this thread. Thanks. Comes in handy.
Since playing the original BG, I've played so many RPG with slightly different ways of allocating points based on level progression -- that I was thinking wrongly about how to improve some of my characters. Of course, all I had to do was read the included BGEE rulebook -- but, reading and understanding books is so pre-21st Century (smiles as he writes this).
Hi everyone, just pushed out an update which includes the following...
Just a note to say I'm using your App. Its more convenient than the (excellent) User Manuals for my purposes. It will be ideal when the Android BGEE is released. Thanks.
Hi everyone who still uses the BGRef app from time to time:
I took about a month off over Christmas/New Years/Australian holiday time, and I'm just getting back into updating the app and adding in all the most-requested features. Sorry the updates haven't been flowing as fast as they have previously, but real life has to take over every now and then!
First on the list is multi-class options and proficiency point specialization, as well as a few minor background updates (tables should look better now, move to SD card is now enabled for those on older devices). It'll be pushed out in the next hour or so across Google Play.
If anything looks wonky, is misspelt or just plain wrong, please please PLEASE let me know! I look through the spell descriptions and other data-heavy pages from time to time but I can't pick up all errors.
Thanks again to everyone who's using it - there's almost 3000 active installs at the moment which is good to know that it serves a use for so many people. Keep on hacking and slashing, everyone!

@PalaNIN thanks for the update! You should consider modifying the icon of the app a little bit coz we will soon (within 2 weeks I hope) have BGEE released on Android and it gonna have same icon %) It will be confusing..
Perhaps you should do something like this but with Reference inscription on top of it:

Thanks for all the hard work you're doing. I browse this app a little bit daily to get a good build for characters.
