I'm in the Shadow, at the end, you cannot meet with me in person. If you suffer from triskaidekaphobia, you will have a hard time to find out my name. I'm a single child, expectant of Lordship.
1. His name is mentioned in the last book of History of Shadowdale. 2. It's the 13. volume. 3. One child of Lord Mourngrym and Lady Shaerl. (At least at the time the history was written.) 4. It's in a book.
Those of my domain will pose a serious threat to you, at first. Survive long enough and the tables will turn, but I won't interfere. If I don't play the game, no one plays the game!
Malar the Beastlord is the god of the hunt and savage beasts (and some other stuff). You never meet him in the games, but he is mentioned. The first two clues refer to all the bears, wolves and wild dogs that pose a real threat to low-level parties, but later become trivial. And the third and last clues refer to the "History of the Dead Three", in which it is told how Malar interfered with Bane, Myrkul and Bhaal's game of bowling because he wanted to play as well and have a chance to win.
@SharGuidesMyHand It be a cold and dreary day when The Thumb can't extend a bit of hospitality to his guests. Come, enter and be welcome at The Sea's Bounty.

Your Turn.
I am renown by my employers for my loyalty... but in their darkest hour, you will find that I am loyal to a new master. Perhaps if your spellcasting is strong enough, you can change that.
One of the leading guards in Nalia's keep (I believe he was the personal guard for Nalia's father), Nalia initially speaks highly of his loyalty, but when you find him, he's hostile and under the command of some sort of charm spell, which can potentially be dispelled if your spellcaster is of a high enough level (or so I've heard - I always just end up killing him).
1. I have many secrets I wish to hide - I wouldn't dare let unwelcome guests out of my sight. 2. Your eventual involvement and yet lack of action can be the downfall of another. 3. We meet several different times, though you might not know it until "my" end is near.

1. It is impossible to go down into the tanner's basement while Rejiek is undiscovered. 2. If you report Rejiek to Lieutenant Aegisfield, Aegisfield ends up murdered. 3. You meet Rejiek first as Rejiek, and then again as Raissa. 4. Rejiek is a Skin Dancer, and you cure Raissa by casting a restoration spell on her.

Next hint:
You were raised in a library. Read.

@ShYariv next!

I have 2 guesses: 1. Thrix 2. Spectator
As with the previous one, we never meet in person.
Cyric?
Because you don't actually meet him in person, his avatar shows up in the pocket plane.
I love the hunt.
And another clue:
When Firebead gives you a book, read it!
Bhaal?
If they love the hunt, then is it Malar?
I can't believe I didn't ask that first.

Wow, I've never seen people try to guess for so long!
Okay, I'm ready.
An arm and a leg I am not, but cause trouble in my tavern and you might lose one. The seas sure are rough this time of year.

4. My powers are born of powerful necromancy, though a single restoration spell can undo it all.
