    Look on this announcement:

Beamdog boss Trent Oster has been throwing out tidbits of information on the upcoming Enhanced Edition of Baldur’s Gate in a flurry of activity on Twitter, spotted by Shacknews. They suggest that Beamdog’s updated version of Bioware’s RPG classic will feature a raised level cap to provide a bit of extra headroom for the new quests.

I'd say leave it as is. If you want to remove it, it's easy enough to do. But the game is a LOW LEVEL CAMPAIGN. It's not balanced for high level characters, hell, I'd actually LOWER it if anything....Maybe 64000 tops.

And bring back racial class caps...those are very necessary. Use the compromise form. Level normally till the cap, but then double xp required to level over the cap.

I'm using a mod that increases monsters HP and generaly make them harder to kill (they receive bonuses to attack etc.) In addition I've changed difficulty to maximum. Each monster give me extra exp as well. I've tried dozen of exp cap removers but none of them work. Does someone know how to remove exp cap in BG:EE?

I played the majority of the game before they fixed the spawn issue and am at the end, not close to the cap yet.

Has anyone started a new game since they fixed it and have capped out?

It is not flawed at all each toons race and class had to be tested and able to preform at somewhat the same lv for endgame. It is balanced with the exp per lv + the exp cap to ensure the game remains a challenge. Personally every time I have ever cheated on a game I never finished it. It's the challenge I play for, though at times the lust for power may over take me ;). If you ask me the game is already so easy on the hardest difficulty, that removing the cap is pointless. If your bad play on easy or cheat , but the thought that the game should be changed to cater to baddies is a lil silly. Keep the caps as intended, we will be able to see epic levels when bg3 comes out there is no point in ruining good games.

Ultimately, I'd rather they raised the cap and put a lot more tougher monsters into chateau Irenicus. There's something lacking in the stronghold of such a powerful mage when there are goblins hanging out there. That, and I hate giving up any advantage I can get in killing the one vampire present there.

The experience could be uncapped but let there be a maximum level. Let's say 12 for BG1 and 30 for BG2. Something like that. In my opinion, some mods make the game very unrealistic and inconsistent and no matter how high the cap is, the gameplay will not have the original feeling.

I say leave it. For those who want higher or umlimited exp caps, there are plenty of mods that do just that, with no real hassle. If you do change it, make it so it can be enabled in the settings instead.

I'm playing on my iPad, so how would you go about uncapping experience?

When I played bg1 originally, I managed to reach the hard cap, even after I removed the experience cap, and had a great time basically embracing my 'god hood.' I would really love to be able to do that. If there was an option, which allowed you to choose any of the above poll options, that would be great.

When BG2 EE comes out, I would love to take my god character into it and go after Irenicus :)

I'm against XP caps. If one wants to grind all his time, why not? I may choose not to do it or not to play with ppl who did it, but that's all. If I want, why shouldn't I do it? If I don't want, who would force me?
