Well, just look at her paperdoll, this women has enormous boobs oO (well pretty much all female characters have, but still ...) I also can see, how some people could be attracted to her intimidating apperance. She is totally seme (to use classic internet fangirl slang here).
Okay, update, people! This post is hard to find for some people a lot of the time, since it's not always on the front page! From now on, this thread is for suggestions only--The day before each fanart challenge, I will take the top ten suggestions with the most likes (if there is a tie it will be decided by coin flip or diceroller, and I will make them into a poll, and post it. The poll will run for a day, usually. It may run a little less long this time since I'm already late in posting the 4th challenge. Whichever of the suggestions has the most votes at the end of the poll's runtime will be the theme for the next challenge!
Why not do Pair portraits. Xzar and Montaron, Khalid and Jaheira, Minsc and Dynaheir, Eldoth and Skie...maybe that's why, only a few. still an idea! or the clashes between them. Eldoth getting skewered by Shar-Teel. or Yeslick and Kagain trying to kill each other. or Kivan and Viconia's talk, or Quayle and Tiax trying to kill each other..
maybe a "company photo" of all the BG1 and BG2 NPCs, with interactions (I'm seeing the three girls from BG2 pulling hair in the background for some reason)
@Darth_Skippy That might be a good idea for a single piece of fanart, but I know from experience that large group illustrations are a pain in the ass, ESPECIALLY for more than 30 characters. It takes a really freaking long time, hand cramps abound, and you have to try to fit everyone on the page while still keeping it visually interesting and walking the thin line between too boring and too busy. Requiring an entry to contain EVERY SINGLE JOINABLE NPC IN THE BG SERIES is just overkill. Honestly I think that we would get very few, IF ANY, entries for that theme simply because of the tremendous amount of work involved. Themes can't JUST be something you'd like to see. A good theme is enjoyable for the artists as well. I know I'd certainly sit out the challenge if the theme was something like this.
How about locations? I've always thoroughly enjoyed the background designs of Baldur's Gate. One could make some very nice illustrations of stuff like Watcher's Keep, Firewine Bridge, Gullykin etc etc. We don't have to limit ourselves to the NPCs.
How about just having different fanart challenges for different characters. For Example, have a Jaheira one where you can do whatever you'd like, fan art, comic, etc. as long as it has her in it.

Only rule is it'd have to be something people created themselves (not just cropped, but did the artwork for).
Such as Native American Indian, Roman (latin speaking), Norse Viking, and Greek.
