    Steam Trading Cards are virtual cards earned by playing games on Steam (like achievements). Sets of cards can be turned into game badges and tradable Steam community items. Players sometimes buy and sell them for money.

    But I think the best and the main important part is that they're actually an artwork and can make nice wallpapers.

    The choices for Icewind Dale (EE)were all stellar and I had never seen some of the background art before (I assume the case is the same with many others).

    This was a great addition and a welcome surprise to Steam users who enjoy these games! Many thanks
