Baldurs gate2 Wilson's Paw not working as intended

Our big furry friend has a claw which suppose to upgrade as his level goes higher like a monk. Hit as +2, +3 and all the way till its +5 weapon. However when i get him to level 19 he still able to hit through PFMW and cant hit any shadow creatures or werewolf ( which are immune to normal weapon ).

He does get +5 to hit and + 5 damage but it still count as a normal weapon.

Sometimes when he dies or hit by dispel, his paw becomes a fist. He still have the paw at quickweapon slot at the inventory screen but during the game it is displayed as fist. (with +5 to hit and +5 to damage)

    Wilson chronicles. Its a nice mod with some additional quest, but its a pity his paw is messed up.

    Hmm, I looked through the Wilson Chronicles tp2 (the mod doesn't touch the OHRWIL itm files) and tested it ingame (with Wilson Chronicles installed) and everything works fine... (I can hit shadows and werewolfs with Wilson)

    Do you have other mods installed beside Wilson Chronicles?

    I missed wilson at the heretic temple during rasaad's quest, so i CLUACONSOLE wilson13. Perhaps the created wilson is bugged?

    Hmm, I tested also with a Cheated wilson... :/

    Maybe it's the best if you make a changelog (I hope you're on windows... :p )

    Attached you can find an archive with two files, extract them into your BG2EE directory and run the change-log.bat. After running the batch, a file should be created in your directory with the name ohrwil.log

    Upload it here or post the content and we will see which mod have changed the files... ;)

    Wilson Chronicles does not change his paw. I'm afraid Wilson is a slightly bugged NPC. Also changing his colour will crash the game, sometimes I get weird Thac0 for his paw. I reported weird Thac0 and the crashing. I guess the paw problem should also be reported. Someone please create a ticket so we were sure this problem will be looked into :)

    Anyone knows which mod made wilson's paw stop working as intended?

    I have the same bug. His paw now works as a fist instead, most annoying part is that he can only do non-lethal damage. Is there any quickfix for this? I also have Wilson chronicles installed, among other mods.

    I just ran a test with v.2.5, Tweaks Anthology v.9 and SCS v32.3 and he's working fine. I consoled him in, boosted his level to 22 and pitted him against a greater mummy (requires +3 weapons to hit), which he tore to shreds. NOTE: I did not install the shape-shifting components in Tweaks or SCS. I hope the cause of this can be ascertained as Wilson is a gem.

    Update: I found a ridiculously easy quickfix to my problem. I don't think it solved everything, but selecting one of Wilson's paws (as if about to tell him to attack something) fixed the equipped fist-issue. He now does normal damage again and can kill. Hope this helps someone until this problem is patched away :wink:
