What Is This Peasant Talking About?

When you enter the Wym Crossing map to go to Baldurs Gate, a peasant comes up to you and asks you to find out "who's been dumping all their waste in the lakes round here".
It's marked as a quest in the dialog box but doesn't appear in the journal..

Anybody know what this is all about and what you are meant to do?

That must be from a mod; I don't ever recall that happening in a game.

Oh yes, sorry, I know it's from a mod, either UB, NPC or SCS.
Was just hoping somebody might know a bit more about it.

It says in the dialog that it's somewhere in the WofST, so was thinking the Peldvale area where the lakes are, but I've never seen anything else to do with it.

It's added by BG1UB. No content has been added for the quest... yet.

There's no solution for this and there never was. It's the unfinished part of unfinished business. My best assumption is that something once was planned for all the empty barrels you find around the lakes in Peldvale but never was installed.
I was irritated by that occurance for long and investigated it to find a broken piece or whatever but there's just - nothing.

    Thanks for the replies.

So it's unfinished business put in by the unfinished business mod?

It's things like this which appeal to my inner hippy. Totally mind blowing :o

Don't change it @AstroBryGuy, leave the mystery unsolved for future generations to puzzle over.

Please do change it @AstroBryGuy . Plot holes annoy me a lot.

Always thought that this was related to the ogre mage in the sewers.
