My mouse has no mousewheel. Will there be alternate controls for the zoom feature? If it is mousewheel only, with no other alternative, the feature will be useless to me, unless I sacrifice precious programmable mouse space. (I get two extra functions other than leftclick/rightclick)
@Tanthalas, thanks, but no. I play on the PC. If the devs made the zoom feature a mousewheel-only feature, and did not implement mappable controls, then I have to say that that was very short-sighted of them, given their apparent philosophy of making the game compatible with the full array of modern devices, e.g., trackball and programmable mouses.
"Cutmull-Rom Bicubic filtering will be used to ensure that all supported resolutions display sharp graphics."
Cutmull-Rom Bicubic filtering doesn't feature in your otherwise excellent and very interesting link.. Well, Bicubic does, but since I have no idea about Cutmull-Rom, I wouldn't know heat that would look like...
Quite similar. I understand why they use this, I guess. While other filters would be interesting, they could be cartoonish too. Or perhaps the sprites/backgrounds are not ideal. Thanks for the info anyway.
They are all 1920x1080. If you watch them on the website they are scaled to fit your browser by your browser. Use these links to see them in their original resolution (unless your webbrowser resizes images to fit screen or something):

Personally I think the UI and fonts are a bit too large for 1080p desktop display. Obviously its designed for higher DPI iPads.
That was exactly my point in the corresponding forum, they are too big for 1920x1080 which means that they will be bigger for lower resolutions which I personally find rather uncomfortable to see.

On the other hand I believe that these are ipad screenshoots not pc ones since we can see the touch buttons so I estimate that the pc ui would be different otherwise ''Houston, we have a problem''.
I don't have a monitor with that resolution to confirm, but when you go into full-screen mode the game automatically detects the resolution of your screen, so I believe so.

Well, we will have to wait and see then, many thanks for your quick replies!!!

That happened with GTAIV - zooming w sniper rifle - and the programmable keys didnt work either - I found a sweet old microsoft trackball in a thrift store - 6 buttons, scroll wheel, and an extra large ball...had to find an archived driver, but works fine....

But serious :
I love the work you do here in the forum and the work you with out doubt have made as a beta tester.
If you're on a laptop with a trackpad, you can use that (it works for me). If you don't, I really don't know.
Well, the developers are aware of it now.

They look a bit pixellated to me on 1080p
@fabboz
I don't think any of those are 1920 x 1080, which ones (#/12) are you talking about?

Those screenshots are form the PC version.
As for the size of the buttons, I'd have to check but I think they're the same size as the ones in BG1.

I'd be nice though to be able to see 2-3 lines of text even with the smallest chat box.
