It is a shame... right now I feel a bit bored and would have some time to play the next few days... but the day the BG:EE is released happens to be the exact same day I am picking up my girlfriend from the airport.
Wish there was a "maybe" option or a "probably" option. Would depend if I feel like it, if its downloading at a reasonable speed if I start it, if an earthquake/tornado/hurricane/typhoon/cyclone/power outage/blizzard/Storm of Vengeance/Meteor Storm or some other disaster doesnt occur to prevent it, and so on.
Might as well pre-load while I'm at work... so I can play at home... then play at work... and play at home... and play while I'm out... and play anywhere else?
I should probably clarify that I'm going to *try* to not pre-load, although I don't know if I'll be able to resist. The reason is that I've got way too much homework to do and finals coming up, and having the game pre-loaded and ready to go would make it that much harder to resist playing come release day.
If you had a Mac and didn't own a copy if Windows to run it in Bootcamp or didn't want to have to buy the game twice (which I will end up doing, as wanted to get my hands in BGEE asap, so pre-ordered, but will ultimately buy the native Mac version, as prefer not to have to use fugly Windows)
So maybe this is a dumb question, but exactly when will be able to preload? I keep reading rumblings on here about it being today, but I don't have the client installed to be able to check and there is no indication of that on the beamdog website under my account. I get that even if we could download it we would have to wait until the 28th to play it, I'm just curious is all
Edit: Nevermind. There is an entire frigging announcement /thread on this.
I will be away from home roughly two weeks and I won't be able to play the game until in december anyway. I won't pre-load the game because
1: by this time the game might have recieved patches, causing problems with a 2week old version (unfortunately I know there can be many problems on release day for a popular game) 2: the servers are going to be stressed today b/c of preloaders and on release day for the non-preloaders, downloading the game in december is going to ease the load and make it easier for the devs

But for the purpose of it, I'll go with the option I'd pick if I were not a Beta Tester :P
Waiting for Diablo III to pre-load was a pain is the ass and I was glad that I didn't have to wait so long to actually play it on the launch day.
I can see the servers going down as everyone who preordered attempt to get the game asap
I hope it will quickly follow the PC release.
