How to get widescreen (actual full-screen) resolution?

All of the resolution options in-game seem give me a viewable area that's square with black borders.

Do I need to change something in my computer's system settings? I'm on a late-2016 13" Macbook Pro, OS 10.12.6. Excuse my technical illiteracy!

User-error at play here, folks. I think I originally set the resolution at the main menu screen, which looked unusably tiny, so I dropped the res all the way down. I only today noticed that the UI as two scales. Bah.

Problem solved, in any case!
