    Hi @Michellia ,

    have a look here.

Hi that solution is for using a web base installer, The email said Standalone and you could download it once and install it.

If I have to wipe the game or the system then I need to re-download the whole thing.

So that is not a standalone installer.

Also cannot find the installer fro NWN:EE

looks like we will ask for a refund and buy on GOG and wait for NWN:EE to be on GOG too

    Thanks for your answers

As Shandaxx wrote, you can back up the downloaded content. The only thing you lose if you don't use the client is the patches. This is exactly the same as gog, so i don't quite understand the distinction.

my thing is with gog if gog is every closed I still have the games.
Places like steam and Beamdog, if they close down you loose everything.
Do not say their too big, many big companies have shutdown.

How many games do you all have that you cannot play because servers have shutdown.

    thank all

There're no standalone laucher for NWN:EE.

All legacy launchers are still available (you can use them for Infinity Engine EEs).

To download NWN:EE, you need the Beamdog Client, https://www.beamdog.com/about/client

That makes me wonder what would happen to my games should Beamdog ever close... A sad thought, still I'm curious.

Nothing happens to your games. If you happen to delete your installer downloaded from gog, and gog is no longer there, what would you do? Exactly same happens if you got your Beamdog games from Beamdog or Steam. If you had a backup you are golden.

Well from GOG we put it on our dual unraid server. So unless our house burns down and everything in it then we never loose it.
