Thanks all. Google and Pininterest (lots of overlap I find) are my normal haunts for portraits, but was looking for something specific and different than my current crop. I like to play my halflings as a bit grimmer and jaded than most of the child-like char portraits I find. I have a great grim halfing assassin portrait, but he has a dagger and the character I have in mind will not use daggers.

Eventually I found this page on Deviantart:

It's worth a look,especially for humans and elves. I will continue to scour DeviantArt for just the right portrait. There are some really good ones, but it does take some searching.
