My dad is getting back into D&D since he played first edition waaaaay back. We made our characters last night and I wanted to go with a point buy system, but he is set in his ways insisted on rolling, because he thinks point buy gives too high stats. Cue me rolling a 96 total roll.
@LadyRhian , That one with the crashed griffin and bat creature and the exchange of insurance information really made me chuckle. I'm currently playing World of Warcraft, and those are the two main commercial flight creatures for the Alliance and the Horde.
My wife made an Elven Paladin for our first game (We are starting in about half an hour actually), but when told us her choice I said I was proud of her for being openly Fae.
