Are there published AD&D rules for estimating item value? (GP)

I'm looking for a way to estimate item market price without comparing the new item with similar items. Maybe there are some official rules existing in one of 2nd ed rule books?
Something like this for 3rd ed (ESTIMATING MAGIC ITEM GOLD PIECE VALUES table).

    The DM Guide doesn't seem to have a proper rule...

    Once you decide that a new item is reasonable, you must assign it a cost. Use your
    judgment. Consider the intricacy of the item, the craftsmanship required to make it, and
    the cost of similar items already on the lists. From these, you should be able to assign an
    appropriate price.


    I'll take a look at some darker sourcebooks.

    There's no rules for magic item prices in the DMG. You could try Encyclopedia Magica. That book series listed thousands of magic items with prices for AD&D. I don't remember if it included price rules.

    There's a website that uses the 1E AD&D magic item tables (that did include prices). You could try it too:
