I didn't realize that was supposed to be a gnome! If that's accurate, that's a neat choice. Really different from the other gnome options. Anybody know where they're getting this information from?
Oddly enough, because of the skull looking thing floating above his right hand, I'd assumed him to be a necromancer, which is the exact magic gnomes can't do.
However, while halflings were commonly said to resemble short humans, gnomes were more comparable with elves, with whom they shared pointed ears and high cheekbones, or even dwarves, due to their tendency to grow beards and live underground. Many gnomes had a more feral appearance than either, however, with hair that often sprouted from their heads in odd directions
The wiki article says that gnomes do tend to grow beards, but it also includes illustrations of beardless gnomes, so that's apparently not unheard of either.
Yeah, something's definitely up with his eyes, but since that doesn't seem to track with any of the existing playable races I imagine that's more to do with whatever magic he's dabbling in.

Pointy ears.
No beard.
Neat hair.
Magic user (not necromancy, looks more technological if anything)
I'd say it's the love child of a halfling and gnome, a gnomfling.
I am on the floor right now, laughing
