    This is on indefinite hold.

What about the alleged Beamdog staff voice pack?

That one is still in development.

The only confirmed additional BG(2):EE content that is still being worked on is a tiny DLC with voice sets of Beamdog's very own staff. Beyond that patch 2.6 is supposedly the last one for the Baldur's Gate IE Saga.

So, yeah, Larian's BG3 pretty much made Beamdog move on to other projects. NwN:EE, A&AO and their next RPG in line in particular.

WotC blocked all future expanisons for the classic games. BG3 literally killed BG1 and 2.

Because WotC doesn't want any of their old products taking hype away from the new. Its not new behaviour. They have a history of instantly dropping support for old ediitions as soon as the new one comes out. Heck, this practice is the whole reason we have Pathfinder. 3rd edition was/is quite popular and people tended to not like 4th. So someone took advantage of that by making their own lawyer friendly 3rd editon rule set adn setting.

Hmmm... Sounds like yet another company run by bean-counters.

The weird thing is, WotC's decision don't always make sense from a money making standpoint. I can understand the bloat of 3.5 making it hard to develop new things reasonably, but just outright dropping support for a very successful edition makes no sense from a moneymaking standpoint.
