I'm going to be pushing out updates in very small increments. (Except the first one, which is a bit larger). The first one will be done next week for my BG2 NPC mod. Even if it's not ready, I'm going to push the update for it next week with whatever is finished. Currently it includes:
-New quest content and changes for Helga and Vienxay.
-Flirts (Kale/Emily are done, Recorder and Vienxay are pending, hence the next week release date.)
-New Rest Talks.
-Kale's Warden class modified.
-New Banters with Wilson.
The next increment after will be labeled as a separate test release which will basically have everything, I have done at the moment for the BG1 mods. This will include the new NPC and a lot of things I haven't gotten to thoroughly test yet, hence "test" in its release name. When a good portion is done (For example, all of BG1 content, all of SoD content) I'll release it as a normal increment.
It's going slow because as I said, I am doing my Masters. I have also just purchased a new home and doing a bit of needed TLC on it. I'm also preparing for my first child, who I'll probably give birth to within the next two weeks. The combination of these things have basically made finding time for modding hard, which usually requires several hours of focus. But at least the BG2 update I've promised is close now!
Wow, so you expect your child within 2 weeks already? I'm a bit worried that it could mean that it might even happen next week...but I admit that I REALLY want the flirts for best girls Vienxay and Recorder done so maybe its worth the gamble to work on them till next week to have them finished if possible.
After the child is born you will likely have even less free time than now so it might be the last contribution to the mod for a while. Though I really hope that I am wrong.
Lately I've seen a few modders (not BG modders) lose their work due to not backing up their stuff and experiencing a HD death so I encourage you to make back up for your modder stuff. Same with your thesis stuff.
I'm really glad that it will finally be released. I postponed by BG2 release for like 10 months awaiting eagerly my next Skitia NPCs update/drug.
We've been packing and moving just about every day this week, so I'm either going to delay one more week or just release what I have, which won't include Vienxay/Recorder flirts as I wasn't able to get any time invested in those. I'll decide once Sunday comes around.

Do you already know whether it will be a boy or a girl? If its a girl then how about Emily or Vienxay?
Speaking of Vienxay...I really hope she gets her flirts (best girl) but I understand if it does not work out. Maybe an extra week would indeed do the trick but I recall that you mentioned 2 weeks ago that you should give birth very soon so you may not have much time anymore especially if next week ended up being the week when your child will be finally in your arms. You will undoubtedly also need to rest a bit after giving birth.
Mod or no mod wishing you all the best in your future as a happy mother!
I go into the hospital tomorrow, so that’s why everything is up in the air. I underestimated how much moving would take my time, I barely had time to get my graduate assignments done.
It’s a girl. Emily is too common and I don’t think anyone can pronounce Vienxay. 😅

Hello does anyone know if in case of an eet install the npcs are persistent through the saga aka if i give vienxay tomes and spells to learn in bg1, will she have those same stats and spells in bg2?

In contrary to what is posted above, I believe they *are* continuous, but I’m still in the hospital for a while and not able to confirm. However, I had intended to do a pure EET version that can be more continuous than just same stats, which is what might be meant. Not sure if I’ll follow through, I may just do a collective BG1 version and leave it at that.
Finally, no permission needed to do crossmod with my NPCs. No need to even tell me you did. I only request you try to keep to their personalities.

Sorry, I indeed probably mixed things up between stats and your pure EET version.
Thanks all! I know this cuts into my time even more, but I refuse to play Baldur's Gate 3 until I get my goals done for my mods first.
Any news on how the mod situation stands?
Do you plan to release what you have finished by now and keep on releasing it afterwards in parts or do you plan to wait till it is completely finished so you can release it?
Given how your new duties will likely eat up your time even more I think it would be nice if you could release even a tiny update just to give fans of your mod something to enjoy this year as getting more ready could take a long while.
And because my birthday comes in 5 days
Btw BG 3 is pretty good IMO. If you manage to find some time from RL duties and modding I recommend playing at least an hour or two.
Good to see that the BG franchise is still strong after over 20 years.
I am going to release test versions in parts until it's finished.
I have a test version of v.166 for Emily BG1 which includes the new NPC that I published on my github earlier today. Hoping to do a test release for the BG2 version soon, then go back to finish the BG1 work, then the BG2 work in full releases. Not announced that I actually released a test version of my new NPC for BG1 yet as I want to have both test versions out first.

No release date for Skitia NPCs?
You could always release a test version for it too with what you finished now, as who knows when will you have the time to fully complete it.

The release date for the next increment is tentatively today. There's a couple of final additions I want to squeeze in, but I am ready enough to write what it will include:
-Initiated Flirts (Done) and PID Flirts (Almost done) for all characters.
-Revised character quest for Vienxay. (Done)
-Additional quest for Helga. (Done)
-Revised Ward class for Kale. (Done)
-New Barbarian class or Vanguard kit choices for Kale for BG2 (Vanguard requires the Artisan Kitpack.) (Not Done)
-Revised Lorekeeper kit for Recorder. (Not Done)
-Revised Shadowmage kit for Vienxay. (Done)
-Keipellmaster kit option for Recorder (Requires the Artisan Kitpack) (Not Done)
-Party Banter with Wilson the bear. (Done)
-A few new Rest Talks for some Skitia NPCs (Done)
It will definitely release this year (And I am talking about the full completion of my changes for it, not just this increment!). But I know I've been horrible with my release date promises. But I've finally got a rhythm between baby, classes, and work despite sleep deprivation. I'm hoping I can keep this pace going like I have been the last several weeks.
The increment will probably be tomorrow as I'm not going to finish these last few lines, the console yelling at me for every code mistake and the kit adjustments in just four hours realistically. But I'm working on it!
As a reminder, the later planned changes after this increment are the sixth NPC, adding approval to BG1, merging all the BG1 characters into one mod, including some more crossmod content, and if time permits, writing a unique EET version of the mod that can be installed in one mod rather than two, and taking advantage of some of EET's changes to make the transition more interesting (I.E., a component where they can be also taken by Irenicus so you don't have to go look for them again. But only as a component since some don't like that part of the game and skip it.)
After that I will probably work on mods of a smaller scope (Like a Rest Area akin to Dragon Age/BG3 where you can interact with your companions), a true resurrection mod, and maybe helping other modders via a mod tool that just helps you create mods so you aren't dealing with the console yelling at you for all those little errors.
I just finished adjusting Vienxay's Shadowmage Kit and Recorder's Lorekeeper Kit, and compiled the build.
For Shadowmage, I added a minor passive ability to add flavor and incentive to using stealth or invisibility, which should complement Vienxay's Shadow Jump as well:
- Umbral Empowerment: While hidden in shadow, the shadowmage gains +1 to their caster level and -1 to their casting speed.
For Recorder, I added another ability for her Lorekeeper Kit that also fit her theme and gave her a bit more utility:
- May cast Mnenomic Retrieval once per day. Gains one use at level 4 and every 4 levels thereafter.
MNEMONIC RETRIEVAL: This spell enables the caster's target to bring back to memory 1 arcane spell and/or 1 divine spell that has been previously cast. If no spells have been cast yet, nothing happens. Mmenomic Retrieval can only recall a spell up to the spell level the Lorekeeper is capable of casting. Thus the Lorekeeper can thus only recall 4th-level spells or lower at level 10, and is capped at 6th level spells or lower at level 16.
Note: Mage/Clerics like Quayle and Aerie gain back a cleric *and* a mage spell when this is casted
I also finally fixed Vienxay's issues of having too little/too many spell slots in BG2 that I noticed.
The last thing I need to do that I ran out of time was adding additional kit options for Kale and Recorder. Once that is done I will upload this version update.

Got it.
Btw...how do you pronounce Vienxay?
To confirm, does the community have permission to do crossmod with your NPCs @Skitia?
Thankee!
Vienxay pronounces it in one of her lines.

Congrats for the birth !
Alternatively, teaching her kid the alphabet, "A is for attacks per round. B is for Bhaalspawn. C is for casting spells via the keyboard."
