Anyone Else Have This Technical Problem With These Forums?

This is happening on at least two different Chromium based browsers (Opera and Firefox). When using/viewing these forums I get the outer background images but no middle section which is just black. This does not happen all the time. Instead, it is seemingly at random as to when it occurs. I can go for a number of pages before it happens. While re-loading the page works, it can take up to 4 or more re-loads to get it to do so. Looking at the re-loading indicator, what appears to happen is that not all of the information is being sent until eventually it is.

Thanks.

I needed to reload this thread 3 times, so yes. (Mozilla Firefox).

And I might add, it's extremely annoying.

With Chrome on PC or Android, usually the whole page is black until refreshed once or twice.

Happening all the time in recent days.

Since I originally posted on here, it has now progressed to the whole screen being black until I cast raise dead (aka reload several times).

Was having similar issues here. Now that problem is gone, but there's a new unusual bug where the navigation columns are showing up on the right side of the screen, and I am unable to scroll to the very top of the screen (to see the banner and such). This is on Windows 11 Desktop.

Afaik Firefox is not Chromium based. Anyway I am having the same issue on Brave on Android phone, Brave uses the Chromium engine but, as the problem happens also with Firefox, I doubt that is browser's engine related.

I wonder if this is related to the sign in problem I get every so often where the sign in dialogue hangs and I have to close my browser and try again? It seems like this site is not sometimes sending all the information it is supposed to.

New effect requiring a reload. Going into a thread I found that I couldn't scroll up the thread from the current post. In effect the post above the latest message was cut off. a reload fixed it.

This just started for me in Chrome this week, but the left hand columns sometimes appear on the right. Other times the top of the page is cut off. Reloading solves it, usually once. And it is random for sure, but about every 3rd page opening. This is a new HP Spectre notebook computer I am using since this week and using Windows 11.

I'm also using Windows 11 and a computer that I've had for about 3 years with no previous problems. So it's definitely some sort of website problem I'm thinking.

    Little nit-pick on reality.
"Firefox is not based on Chromium. In fact, we're one of the last major browsers that isn't. Firefox runs on our Quantum browser engine built specifically for Firefox"

Anyway, me too. Sometimes it wouldn't let me scroll up to the top of the page. Other times it won't load the page. I have not bothered to see if there's a console error or anything yet.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. We've been observing the same behavior.

The current version of the Vanilla forums the site uses is old. We've been trying to get a more modern version running over. Hopefully, it'll succeed.
