Alignment change

JordiJordi Member Posts: 25
Hello, im playing this awesome game again and trying to change my evil pc to good, i know about the hell trials but they only change to evil right? Is there a way in the trilogy to change the alignment, some quest maybe, im asking for role play purposes, an evil becoming good middle game.
Thanks.

I think you can donate to temples and that will increase your reputation I believe. Never done it myself though.

Yes this would work for reputation, but not for alignment i think.

Is it even possible to change alignment?

There is a “Helm of Opposite Alignment” available late game in BG1. Obviously not quite the same thing as an all story/RP solution, but it would work.

Yeah that helm would be the only way.

You can change to evil in a certain part of the trilogy, but i think there is no way to change to good/neutral.

What does alignment Even do with exception of familiar spells, priest spells and bhaalpowers?

Nothing, reputation is what really matters in the end.

Some item restrictions use alignment. Either good or evil to be able to use.. i think this is probably the most substantial thing about it, and even that is a minor thing.
