Would you consider implementing a check for I4E being installed to disable the Imoen-kidnap-mentions for a future version?
Sorry, but that's not on my list. I prefer the original version of the story.
Preferable does not necessarily mean non-compatible. I really appreciate having one constant companion, especially the one from the very start. As a modder I'm sure you understand this feeling.
Nope, I do not BG1 NPC Project is also there, and none of my companions are continuing what's in that mod, because my interpretation of these companions is much different from what is in BG1 NPC Project, thus I do not bother more than I need to about it. Neither of my mods is going to crash your game if you install BG NPC Project or I4E, but I am not going to write my mods to work with every single mod/interpretation that is out there.
Sometimes I may add such compatibility if I feel it's truly needed, but this one is not such a case, sorry.
Furthermore, I do think these games need new choices and not everyone from BG1 needs to stay for a whole game. I wrote some of those NPCs, but that's because I do enjoyed writing them, it was a challenge I enjoyed, not to keep the composition the same from the start till the end. I actually think that a certain rotation is cool, thus I wrote Juniper who is a ToB-only companion, and Mother Lost who is a SoD-only companion, or White who is BG1-only NPC.
If you feel my mod mentioning a vanilla event is a deal-breaker for you, then perhaps you should add a different companion to the roster (instead of Dynaheir)--there are many cool options And if there are authors who wish to add compatibility via Crossmod Banter Pack (and I am not talking only about I4E), as I did with Khalid and Dyna (if both mods -- let's say Dyna and I4E -- are detected), then I'm still around and ready for cooperation, but since I do not use all the mods out there and (in this specific instance) I don't even like Imoen, then I am not going to suddenly writing crossmod for something that isn't something I will ever play or enjoy.
Cheers!
Disclaimer: I do not think I4E is a bad mod, Jastey is a skilled and experienced and great modder, it's just a mod I do not use, because it's not the story I want to play and I won't write content I *personally* won't enjoy creating.
Can I ask without spoilers how important is Minsc's role in this whole thing? Is he mentioned? Are there talks about him? I am willing to try it but the problem is that i love Minsc and he is a legendary element of whole universum. Smoldering mods review is mentioning his appearance here and there
Sure! I am still going to use a spoiler tag in case someone wanted to have exactly 0 information about it, though:
In the very beginning, when we encounter a machinery that is keeping Dynaheir's body in some tube, he smashes the thing and a strange surge takes him away. The very same surge brings back Dynaheir. Minsc is replaced by Dyna for a whole SoA and ToB, but there are many talks about him with Dynaheir, as part of her story is to find out if he's alive and what happened to him and how is it's possible that she's breathing again.

Thanks for sharing the ending for both of them. I especially love how you wrote Dyanheir's one, how
