Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve been here… let them b*tch.
So I bought BG1 on Android a while ago, and after BG3 did my girl Viconia dirty—along with the fact that I’m playing NWN 1 on my Android—I decided to play BG1 as well.
Dear lord, how do y’all play this? I tried to pick up the Ring of Evermemory with my sorcerer… 15 minutes. That’s how long it took for the game to actually register it instead of just walking over it. I don’t have Identify, and I don’t have any gold, so I decided to do the fight at the Candlekeep Inn to get some money. I can’t even win it.
Half the time I can’t tell if the game is registering my commands, and the other half my character is walking off instead of trying to cast Magic Missile to get rid of this NPC’s Mirror Image. I end up feared and double–Magic Missiled to death because my character isn’t acting fast enough. Pausing and issuing commands, then unpausing, doesn’t seem to work either—at least not like it does in NWN.

Playing on a phone can be tricky, I'd recommend it on a tablet. When I play on Android, I usually rely more on party AI and use more melee-focused characters.
