Using "Darkness over Daggerford" portrait DLC in other Campaigns/Online?

I'm totally in love with the portraits from the DLC, but it seems they can only be picked while playing the DLC- and when I try to load the character in other Campaigns, it just shows as that shadowy robed avatar.

Is there a way to solve this? Surely the DLC should be for all aspects of NWN:EE =)
