is beamdogs game server down??

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
an time I try to sign in to play baldurs gate 2 it says cannot connect to server its been a few months though so I don't know if anything has been changed and for some reason when I try to do offline it says unavailable instead of play which for all I know you have to be signed in to play

    I use hughesnet highspeed internet so its a good connection

    I can't provide a screenshot but I had the problem today that I could not connect via the BeamDog client, it told me I am offline and no connection for game updates available.
    I have high speed internet (100MBit) and my internet connection worked fine.
    I tried on two computers, same on both. Win 7 and Win 8.1.

    I had the same problem. It's the old beamdog client I think it is no longer supported. I deleted it and installed the new client and no more problems. You do have to download games again but it was fast.
