Yes, it should work like that, but at the moment there is no patch.

Let's sum up in english: We already finished the italian traslation, there was an official announce, we talked with the press and promoted the release date (april 25th). And then, the devs don't release the translation, without saying ANYTHING to the team.

Could someone explain how the Italian translation works? Does it mean you download a patch and then your game basically becomes an Italian version (or do you have access to both languages then and can switch between the two?)

Selecting "Options", then "Language", you can choose any of the available languages. You just have to restart BGEE for the changes to take effect. That's what the selection screen looks like:

There may be an issue with this patch, at least on PC. I have just installed it and since then the "Level Up" screen cuts off the bottom part of the screen, including the "Accept" button. This means I cannot level up. (I suppose that is obvious, really.) This happen in both full screen and windowed modes.

I have started a thread in PC support as well.

That is really strange, because this patch has just changed the dialog.tlk file in the folder "italian".

It‘s just that you forgot to assign all proficency points in order to finish lvl up @mfr001. So no bug people :)

Have you checked Sicily? I hear a lot of things go missing there...

Actually it seems that much more things go missing in Canada...

It's a big country. I've been looking for my sanity for years ever since I left it on a bus that was heading to Moosejaw. Glad that ita patch was found.

Yes, but you should know that adding the italian translation in your game directory will make your CHARNAME incredibly cool :)
