New voice sets for player

We are adding at least three new male and three new female player voice sets to the game. The cast is pretty skilled voice actors, so we have high expectations.

    That's really good news. I've never managed to find a male voice set I like so maybe the new ones will work for me.

    I always thought the choices for CHARNAME's voice was one of the least well done parts of the game.
    Not to dis the voice actors or anything, I just didnt find one I really liked.

    Awesome news! Will the already existing voicesets still work btw? I mean, the audio layouts. XXXXa, XXXXb, XXXXc etc..?

    Excellent! Baldur's Gate already had a fantastic set of voice talent (Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Grey Delisle, etc). I wonder who the returning guy is? :)

    The NPC's had great voices...I was just not into the ones that I could use :D It is actually a common thing with most of the games I play.

    Great news! Are the new voice actors younger that the original ones were? I always felt that the available male voices sounded too old. The Gorion's ward is supposed to be 20, and the voices all sounded like a man well in his forties. It wasn't really an issue with female voice-sets, as female voice doesn't change as much with age.

    This is promising. I felt there were few serious voices and that too many were a bit silly in nature.

    I've got a question, and i'm not sure if this was addressed in the past or not. Will there be new background voices added to the environments also??

    all I remember during baldurs gate is the voices constantly going off as I click on the characters and as things happened

    "heh! time for a bit of a rough and tumble"
    "what now I wonder"

    Xzar is being attacked by Kobold commando

    "Mommy I dont feel so good!"

    "ye spoke at me"
    "and the Rivers will run red!"

    "We're all doomed"
    "Life is so hollow"

    Xzar... Death

    "and the mad wizard falls! Saves me the trouble"

    Dammit Xzar every time sit at the back! wait till your level 3 or 4 when you can actually cast useful spells!

    Not that I actually it is the case that he is the actor or anything. Just want to point out that Michael Dorn did appear briefly in Soa as bhaal. So he has previously worked on a baldur's gate game.

    Yes, English only. I personally am not qualified to judge voice acting in any other language.
