Can I get it in a box?

With a hard copy manual?

And a map I can stick on my wall?

I do like a nice, sturdy box.

I was actually disappointed with the box for BG2 because it was made of thinner cardboard than the original BG1 box. Basically, I am like a little kid at Christmas: I have more fun playing with the box than what it contains.

The BiG Picture - Balder's Gate Trilogy Worldmap project has already done almost all of that work, just take it to a print shop. If that's not good enough track down a copy of the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas CD-ROM & either export it from within that program or if you really want to go all out use the Atlas with Campaign Cartographer to personalize an exported map to your heart's content.

Hardcopy manuals are somthing that I really miss, its sad that the new generation of gamers will never get to experience the joy of *sniffing* a freshly unboxed manual!

    Oh those were the days!

I just moved, so I couldn't redocerate my room yet, but the walls of my old one where full with maps, cards
and other goodies which were in the game boxes (and a CD - row of the games I where most proud to own
    ;-) )

So yeah.. If there will be a hardcopy ANYWHERE I'm going to import it u_u
And.. i want the printet manuals back! There is nothing better after buying a game, sitting in the train/bus
to get home to play it and then open your box and start reading the manual to ready yourself to dive in
once you are home - and some of the good manuals (like the BG ones ^^) had a certain ..style to them
that got you into the game before even installing it ^_^

You know what would be REALLY cool? Grid up the map, transfer it to your wall, and paint it!

I would love a physical copy, I really don't care for digital copies its just not the same. I will always go for a physical copy given the choice. That said I would be very surprised if that were an option seeing as all other Beamdog games have been digital only to date. Obviously I will be purchasing the game regardless, The Baldurs Gate games are the greatest games ever made in my opinion.

@DetroitRedWings25 I have hard copy box sets of BGEE, BG2EE and IWDEE which I got from Amazon (UK) and they all play perfectly well with no need to log in or register anywhere, in fact no need for an internet connection at all (which is the way I like it).

I would love to see a pack with the complete Baldur's Gate saga patched to the most current version (BG1EE, BG2EE and SoD), printed manuals and hopefully cloth maps.

That, on a big box would make one great collection.

Boxes are overrated. Can I have it in a tube instead? Or a pyramide? Maybe in the shape of a formless miniature giant space jelly?

    $129.99! Seriously?

It turns out I was wrong.

I don't want it in a box after all.

I'm happy I was proven wrong I'm happy to dish out the 129.99  I doubt any game will ever hold the same significance as Baldurs Gate in my life.
