What Anomen doesn't know about elves...

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
After dumping half his party for being unprofessional, Ravayu Atar, the elven Mage/Thief with half an ear and poor impulse control, recruited Anomen to be the new party beatstick.

Apparently there is a side effect to wearing the ring of human influence, Blade of Roses and Nymph's Cloak all at the same time, because Anomen started this dialogue immediately after being recruited:

Somehow I think Anomen's going to be in for a nasty shock at the end of this particular romance.

    I get the feeling Neera had something to do with this. That sex change wild surge can cause issues like this.

    Were you wearing the belt of Masculinity/Femininity when importing into BG2EE? Its the only thing I can think of in the base game that would affect this.

    Nah, that would require me not to put it on Khalid.

    Otherwise there are no mods related to this behaviour, haven't recruited Neera yet, and after recruiting Hexxat she appears uninterested, so I can only assume Anomen's an "elves don't count" kinda guy.

    Still... I won't lie and say I don't like him. The only thing that makes up for his erratic behaviour is the fact that he trusts you without a doubt, has you on high regard and respect, growing to eventually fall in love with you for real, doing everything for you and on top of that, being undeniable loyal. Tell me if you can't endure his faults if he's like that in the end! He just gets a lot of bullying, poor little misunderstood Anomen :( xD
