I would recommend scs mod's wolf of ulcaster encounter, then.

Scs is a big mod that beefs up the encounters and enemies in the game, particularly making spellcaster enemies very smart:they react and adapt and it feels as if battling a living, thinking person.

More to the topic, one scs component adds an unique vampiric wolf named Wolf of Ulcaster to the dungeon, who has unique powers like howl of terror, another howl that brings unluck, another one that raises ghouls, and another one that summons dread wolves. Quite a fun fight. It fills an otherwise quite empty dungeon.

    Great suggestion by @lunar

This component really boosts difficulty for the average player in Ulcaster.
    Be prepared!
You want be able to "wander freely" in the ruins now!

An excellent description of every dungeon pre-TotSC

It is still much better than Firewine. And TotSC still had the ice caves ;)

But I think the Nashel and Cloakwood mines were decent dungeons.
