I'm stood outside in the freezing cold, supposed to be helping to train a youth football team and instead I'm listening to all the awesome music on here
This song is what I immediately think of when I think of 80's music. The year of George Orwell, the Fulda Gap awaited but Afghanistan was proving to be a quagmire to yet another Super Power (The Graveyard of Empires indeed), and this lad was 9.
@Autequi Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues is one of my all time favorite albums. I bought that album three times. First I bought the vinyl, then I found out the cassette had extended versions of several songs, then I saw the clear vinyl Robert Rauschenberg version and just had to have it.
Umm... OK... I've got several Soft Cell albums and 12" singles, but I've never actually seen this video before. I have to say it's one of the creepiest things ever, and not in a good way.

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
HAHAHA! Nope! I bought them within the last ten years on DVD. My wife looked at me kinda funny when I told her what they were. I get that a lot.
I also have a turntable hooked up to my computer.
Tanita Tikaram - Twist in my Sobriety
Arcadia - The Flame
Yeah, I prefer the parody too.
And speaking of parody, what would the '80s have been without this guy.
Wow! - 5 pages dedicated to 80s music and not a single song from the Thompson Twins??
Doctor Doctor (one of my favorite songs of the decade):
Hold Me Now:
Remember when Mad World wasn't sung as a whiny slow song?
That synthesizer backdrop at the beginning still gives me the chills.
This IS the 80s right here:
Goofy hair and glasses, bizarre video, low budget "special effects" - but at the heart of it all is a song of pure awesomeness!
My Moodys albums are next in the "to-be-ripped" pile, so I can get these back in my playlist finally.
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
