Neera permanently a squirrel now?

Right at the beginning of the big bandit camp fight (on insane), Neera turned herself into a squirrel. Rasaad has been carrying her stuff, but we've rested a couple of times, and she's still a squirrel. I then kicked her out of the party, and she's still a squirrel. Kind of a problem, since she's my character's girlfriend. Anything in game that can be done?

Polymorphing into a squirrel has a permanent duration and needs to be dispelled. If Viconia is high enough level she can cast it - if not, the temple can also dispel it.

I tried dispel via the Friendly Arm Inn's temple. Didn't work.

Dispel doesn't always work. Try buying it multiple times?

Multiple dispels at temple didn't work. Vicconia got fed up and crushed Neera's squirrel body to death via hammer. Then we paid the priestess to resurrect her, and she was half elf again.

Yeah, I kinda assumed that Thalantyr (sp?) can't handle going through that again. I do think you should be able to put Neera in your inventory when this happens. Squirrels move very slow.

Likely

She couldn't cast or attack, or carry more than 5 pounds, but it looked like she could still use wands. Maybe if hasted, the squirrel could keep up and just use wands.

You know, role-playing wise, it wouldn't be so bad to be stuck in some of the forms. Like a Flind. They aren't slain on sight or anything. It's too bad polymorphed characters can't use items. Anybody wanna change that?

Squirrels can climb tree like objects very quickly, and they have a bite that can crack nuts.

You may want to invest in bicycle clips. (For those too lacking in years to know about these, they are worn at the bottom of the trousers when riding a bike to stop the trouser leg getting caught in the chain which would otherwise provide considerable amusement for passers-by.)

There is a wand of polymorphing in BG city that turns people into squirrels. Unfortunately for my Neera, she went crazy throwing off all her gear and tried to turn one of us into a statue, but it backfired and now she is herself a stone statue in the friendlyarm inn.

Too late now, but I think polymorph may count as a curse, so it may take Remove Curse to undo it. I'm not sure, though. Maybe one of our resident Near Infinity experts will be interested in this topic and can look up the opcodes.

I know I'm really late to this conversation, but here's what I discovered after Neera turned herself into a squirrel:

Dispel Magic doesn't work--either from a caster or from a temple. I tried many times.
Remove Curse doesn't work.
Polymorph Self, which Neera can cast from a scroll, will turn her into the various options, including her human form, but she keeps the squirrel hit points and strength of 3 permanently.
The only way to cure her is to kill her and resurrect her. She then comes back with normal hit points and strength. Many thanks to thespace for thinking of that!

I believe Wild Surge effects are supposed to fade with time. I've enver been able to dispel them, but they fade eventually.

Ctrl+R if the console is enabled should bring her back again.
