The Roadmap board is a public read-only board where interested parties can inform themselves on what is going on in NWN:EE land, development wise.

The Input board is something I and other developers can fill with data based on what the community are saying. Then you (each of you!) can vote on that data to prioritise it. Developers will pick features from that and move it to the Roadmap board to indicate "this is great, let's do it"

If you're interested in helping to make NWN:EE better, go vote in the Input board, and share the feedback on this subforum.

There will be separate threads for every card from the Needs More Discussion List so that the developers could get more details and feedback on them.

We're also interested in suggestions to improve the Input board itself!

Important: Please, don't use the NWN:EE Trello Board Discussion category for NEW requests, - only for those that are in the Boards already. I've moved a few threads to https://forums.beamdog.com/categories/nwn-general-discussions. In the same time, continue to post requests on the forum (any section of https://forums.beamdog.com/categories/neverwinter-nights, except for the Trello Board), they'll find their way to the Input board and thus maybe one day come to the NWN:EE Trello Board Discussion category :)

    So I see voting has been enabled, but I'm still only able to Follow the items in the Active Field. Am I doing it wrong? :)

    Where do we find a description of the Input cards?

    e.g. what does "update the player character models" mean?

    @Proleric I'll probably be going through the Cards and embellishing on suggestion definition, for those requiring discussion in this forum, "in the air" subjects that require refinement.

    When can we expect to see cards shift from Input to Roadmap? For example, will this happen when a new patch comes out as things are inevitably moved to 'shipped', thereby freeing up space elsewhere (under proposed/active)? Or will it just happen randomly, depending on whenever a decision is taken for a specific card?

    There's no other answer than already is given on the Trello board:

    "Once the development team is ready to actively investigate a feature request or are working to implement it, the card will be moved to the roadmap board."

    It is possible to open a discussion on "Update the player character models"on this section of the forum? to know what you want to improve character models?

    Sorry about reposting this. I thought that ideas would "only" be evaluated only on the trello boards, so I copied my post here:

    1.) Is it possible to make Override folders work like they do in NWN2? Where you can have the game read from folders in the Override directory and not dump stuff into the main override folder. This would be a great help for me.

    It didn‘t work for me either because I have the trello app (iOS) installed. It said I have no rights. Once I opened the link in Safari I could vote :)

    I did a post like month ago to allow special characters in chat box.

    Im spanish and our special chars are not included and if you type them are shown as an invalid char. similar to this one. Ã

    Im not asking for game translation. Only for character encode on ingame chat.

    Can we put a card so Devs can take a look on the issue?

    Yes, in fact, and a problem that I have also encountered, letters like "à" or "ì" are not recognized by the game as also special characters like "ç" for example ... in addition I would like to report (something I did not believe you could do it) and copy and paste texts in chat from the game to another program (like Crome or windows Note) and vice versa.

    @JuliusBorisov earlier in this thread you asked for suggested improvements to the input trello boards. I have one but I strongly suspect it is not going to be implemented. Currently you can only vote for a suggestion. Well what are you supposed to do if you feel passionately against one of the things on there? There is no down voting mechanism and there is something I am passionately against. The item I am against is not covered by any discussions in this trello section either. What am I supposed to do, fashion voodoo dolls for the people who have voted for this change?

    I think it can be done the same way there's a thread sharing disagreement with the proposed 4th class. You can comment about the cards and express your feelings.

    Great to see some cards from the "structures/formats" and "game/mechanics" getting some attention! Along with "Toolset" and "Engine" those are the lists I look most forward to seeing fixed/tackled.

    Moving the game to a 64bit is a great enhancement for the game. But will leaving the toolset in 32bit keep the toolset from utilizing what can be built with the 64bit game engine?

    After all the toolset is what compiles buillt maps and scripts into a mod to be read by the game engine. Wouldn't this be like putting regular gas into a high octane engine?

    Now the Roadmap board provided all the Live Stream links. We have also added the patch archive list and put a card with the NWN:EE release notes there.

    Is it possible to arrange the trello cards by date rather than votes?

    The new cards without votes get lost in the bottom. I only found out about the indoor ceiling card by reading the forums, I would've missed it otherwise.

    This is something that we'd appreaciate more input on from the community. We sort cards by votes manually, the order can be different. But will sorting them by date serve the purpose of better exposure?

    You can click on menu to view activity to see what has be recently added cards to the board and who added them. Vote order is more beneficial to me.

    Frequent visitors can check the news feed but if someone visits once a month or is new to the boards it won't be useful.
