Share your New Playthrough Resolutions: In my next playthrough I solemnly swear to...

I solemnly swear to:

1. Actually use wands and potions instead of hording them for "future fights"
2. Not reload any time someone dies (I don't usually like the concept of resurrections)
3. Actually finish the game before starting a new playthrough!

come share yours!

    I solemnly swear to:
Actually finish the game before starting a new playthrough!

You could rise to the challenge right now, and finish your current campaign instead of starting a new one.
Already finished my last playthrough (IWD, HoW and Trials of the Luremaster) and just installed the Baldur's Gate games and PS:T on my new computer. I never had a problem finishing IWD, it is the BG series that always gave me restartitis.

I plan on going through all 4 BG games consecutively for the first time! We'll see how that works out.

HOW @#%#@ DARE YOU? HE IS A KINDLY OLD MAN AND THE COOLEST NON-PLAYABLE NPC IN THE GAME, YOU ANIMAL!

So hard to find decent folk nowadays

    Meh.
Well he's a kindly old man who's worth 2500 xp! Truthfully I only kill him when I play a NE mage or sorcerer. My little imp makes short work of him (mustard jelly sounds like something that would be good on toast).

Maybe that is why home intruders generally target the elderly?

What stopped me from killing them already was discovering that both became quest plot figures for quests that are far worthier than killing them. That's for EET modded games only, I have to add.

Play a singleclassed, legal character all through BG1-SoD-BG2-ToB without eekeepering the character at all.
Make this SC non-magic oriented character as OP as is humanly possible using only actual items available in the vanilla game.
    Play dwarf. As always.

To only roll the stats dice a set number of times and stick to it.

    To try and finish BG2.

Not to play when I have drunk to much dwarven ale.

Be a REAL man - play a paladin AND romance Aerie
Hey, thats my canonical charname! Cavalier in love with that sweet avariel girl. I always played good charnames only, so my next play will be CHN Swashbuckler in love with that sweet drow girl. Just waiting for the update and all (urge to play CHG mage again....).

The little I have played Ajantis, I always NPC EE him to a cavalier and I must say I was mighty impressed.

Heh, lawd, that would be a challenge, esp. given my idea of how my PC might drift off the chosen path, as they say.

Wizard Slayers are remarkably effective against him. He's a pretty powerful wizard but he doesn't actually know any defensive spells.
