Help me blood a youngster?

Hi.
I'm going to introduce my son to the game. He's pretty young though, so he's going to suck, especially as it'll be largely on tablets.
I figured one way to get around this would be to give him something of a simple and OP character, and quite liked the idea of a swashy / fighter multi with 2hs proficiencies.
I can't see a way to edit characters to give kits on Android, so I wondered if anyone with access to shadowkeeper wanted to make me a character? It would be massively appreciated

I think Swashie is a great choice full stop, (the keepering stuff I'll leave to somebody else).
For a younger player, a couple of things to keep in mind. They like to do "stuff", so opening locks, setting traps, stealing ect. helps to keep them engaged.
Also bows and arrows, especially in BG.
I wouldn't go for 2HS, Varscona is the best sword in BG IMO. You can get it early and it will take you through the game and makes a reallly satisfying sound effect.
Plus chances are they will want to take Minsc so 2hs are covered already.
I was imagining they'd start with BG2 - I guess that's just a personal preference - which means sword of chaos and lilarcor dead early, and carsomyr and the silver sword later on.
Thoughts:
Male Half Orc
Fighter/Swash multi
STR 19
DEX 18
CON 18
INT 16
WIS 16
CHA 18
PP 65 (either pp Dagger or use CHA)
Locks 65 (for upstairs gem)
50 in the rest.
I ended up making the char anyway, so if it is too OP or not to his liking, then let me know and any of the stats / race can be changed easily...
I made the char for BG1 as a starting char, so on import to BG2 there will be some extras he will have to select. I made him proficient on all thief weapons and 2HS, as well as TWS and 2HSS so he can select which ever way he would like to play. I have included a portrait as well (2 weapon style port though).
To install, unpack the .zip file, copy the .chr file to:
'sdcard/android/data/com.beamdog.baldursgateiienhancededition/files/characters'
and .bmp files to:
'sdcard/android/data/com.beamdog.baldursgateiienhancededition/files/portraits'
then import the char on creation. Of couse if you are playing on BG1, then use that folder instead. If the portrait doesn't show up, then you should be able to select a custom...
Enjoy

Why make it easier? I think that what made us a fan of this game was the fact that it is hard and we had to discover how to make it easier through trial-and-error.
That's the exact same reason why Dark Souls and PUGB are games that have such a large base of young fans.
Just a non-requested insight.

He's very young, and has access to *loads* of games through his Kindle, and my Xbox and PlayStation. His generation has opportunities to engage with *so much more* than mine did, so getting him killed by a mephit over and over before he knows what's happening is not going to engage him.
I'm seeing this as a chance to engage him in long, meaningful story telling first and foremost, with an opportunity to introduce him into deeper mechanics as we go - plus he can work out how to keep eg Jan Janssen and Nalia alive without armour our an understanding of arcane tactics, so the challenge can still be there.
Hell, maybe I'm underestimating him and he'll be after solo no reload Wizard Slayer runs on SCS and Ascension before the end of summer.
Cheers
