This was my introduction to thrash/metalcore, and it highlights what might be my favorite flavor in terms of themes in metal. Determination and not backing down.
The Rossini cover made me remember this cover of Beethoven's 5th that I hadn't heard in like a decade. Until today I thought it was Yngwie Malmsteen playing this. But it seems this must have been one of all those mislabeled tracks that floated around the internet in the early 2000s. https://youtu.be/z5jiNFzc1-8

I have no words to explain how I feel about that band name lol. It's actually a decent Deathcore/Metal album.
Count Raven's "High on Infinity" got me through 1994 in a tiny village of 500 people in the middle of nowhere, Scotland.
My mother's boyfriends brother had a German friend who was into Doom Metal and somehow I inherited a beat up copy of a cassette tape with half the label worn off. It was only a few years ago that I discovered who the band even was!

For the sake of comparison I still think Tarja sounds more comfortable in this voice but Floor was better than I thought
Ghost - Cirice (Official Music Video)
I'd never heard of Ghost until last week when Erock posted this and it prompted me to look into them. They are great.
