I'm using EEkeeper with BG2EE and having a few issues, basically everytime i load the edited save all party banters are reseted, including the romances, Jaheira will repeat the "What we will do now?" for example, which is her first romance dialogue in the game i guess, also, my party Ai is reseted to Vanilla Advanced AI party with all default options on. It seems the keeper is deleting the "Local Variables". Among the mods i use i believe the issue could be caused by maybe The Tweaks Anthology, specially the "Accelerate Romance", but even after even after uninstalling this component i still have the issue, i also have SCS but i'm not sure which component could cause it. Any clues?
Don't use EEKeeper. It is not maintained and causes bugs. If you are going to edit saved games, use Near Infinity.

The thing is, i don't even think is a problem with EEKeeper exactly, as you can open an edited save afterwards and still see all the variables there and match them off against the previous save you copied to edit. It's only after the save is opened in the game that the local variables get wiped and are missing from subsequent saves.
EDIT: It seems i found a "solution". The problem seems to happen when i launch the game with the Infinity Loader, which is required to use Bubb's spells menu and EEX, if i launch the game with the vanilla launcher and load the edited save the problem will not happen, so the solution is : Launch the game with the vanilla launcher, load the edited save and save again to create a "normal" save, quit the game and then launch the Infinity Loader and load the normal save.

There's nothing wrong with EEKeeper. It's not "maintained" because it doesn't have to be, since there hasn't been an update to the base game. Now, if you throw some very extensive mods and apparently launchers into the mix, sure, some bugs might arise.
Near Infinity is obviously a great tool, with deeper possibilities, but EEKeeper still has its uses. I use both without issues, including on modded games, but then again I don't use custom launchers or the mods Nightwalker mentioned.

It currently has 22 open bugs on its bug reporting tracker. EEkeeper does have issues with handling unknown variables like timers and such, and there are a lot of other little nuance/issues with the tool.
Hi. I'm new to both Baldur's Gate and DnD (even though I have been wanting to try these things since the 90s!), and since dice-based stats calculations are different from the normal stat calculations that non DnD RPG video games generally follow, I have a question:
I made a Shadow Dancer in BG:EE (Did the rolls and such before I really read up on DnD), and after many hours in this save now, I ended up finding a Shadow Dancer guide on Youtube that says the stats to focus on for a SD are Dex and Constitution. I did the rolls for Dex, Str and Charisma (Constitition's only 7), and the game has been hard for me so far, particularly for melee battles using the SD (dies easily). So I think I should have had more points in Constitution after all.
Basically, I would like to reroll using EEKeeper. My question is, can I do this simply by loading my save up in EEKeeper and using the reroll button and then saving it, without upsetting the balance of anything else in the save? I mean, would rerolling the rerollable stats affect some other calculations in the save? Would I have to delevel my character and then level up again to have it done properly or something?
Just to confirm, I don't intend on changing class, kit or anything else. I would just like to redo the reroll that you do at the start of a character creation.

Having a minus to CON is never a particularly great idea (in both PnP and vidya games) if you can at all help it, but I'm curious as to why that guide specifically mentions an albeit tertiary focus on CON.
I quickly tested it, and thing like HP and AC aren't updated, even when you re-roll or recalculate, though atm I have only high-level characters to test with.
I would recommend checking what your ability point total is, and adding some extra points to CON so that the total ends up not being *too* high. If you don't change the other scores, you don't have to manually recalculate anything other than HP.

Thank you. Yeah, I think I'll try that.
