@Mornmagor I've seen countless of current-gen console games that look WAAAAY better than Dragon Age INQUISITION (because you know, calling it '3' is heresy), so I gotta agree there. And I've seen WAAAY better looking and smooth games than Dragon Age "3" of the same genre, not of different kinds.
As for the PC being Morrigan's baby, what would he/she be, like... 6 or 7 years old? "Mishter can I haz a candeeh?"
I rewatched the trailer a couple of times now. I can't help but notice...
...these guys are fucking Predator copypastes!
Edit : also this (quote on quote here)
"We never paid any heed to the ancient prophecies...like fools we clung to the old hatreds...and fought as we had for generations. Until the day the sky rained fire, and a new enemy came upon us. We stand now, upon the brink of destruction, for the reign of chaos has come at last."
Well, at the very least, the fact that it comes out in the fall of 2014 means they'll actually spend time on this game, unlike DA2 which was a copy/paste rushjob. The trailer was generic, but eh, it might not be horrible. My expectations are low so I won't be dissappointed.
@State_Lemming: I think that pretty much sums it up, yes. Btw, I think it would actually be interesting if the protagonist were the kid of Morrigan. I mean, with such a messed up mom, imagine how you yourself would be being her kid. XD

I wonder if this apocalypse will be more apocalyptic than the last one?
Anyway, the more I look at the Inquisition trailer, the more it reminds me of the intro to Dark Souls and recently @Cheesebelly pointed out to me that it also is very much like the trailer for Warcraft 3. Seriously peeps, watch that trailer. It's almost the same as Inquisition, except that Inquisition's got a bigger war scale and boobs in a corset included.
Boobs in corsets sell games, I suppose ( @Kitteh_On_A_Cloud ). Anyway, I'm not going to decide on the game until it actually comes to fruition. I don't understand (and can't) why so many people are so butt-hurt over the game. If you want it, buy it, if not, don't. Whining about what you may or may not want BioWare to do/be is perhaps a means of catharsis, but it isn't going to change anything. Either it will be Call of Dragon Age/Age of Duty or an RPG remains to be seen; also, we'll see if taking the time to develop the game properly is a good thing or if it is merely delaying the inevitable. Regardless, it'll come out when it does, probably get lots of rave reviews (largely influenced by character creation and the first 10 minutes of the game, and probably helped by boobs in corsets) and then the real players will have their say.
It's why I'm waiting this one out. Fall 2014 for most. Summer 2015 (or later) for me.
I am waiting for more info, before i decide. One question though how does ea get all the hate but bioware remains mostly unscathed. The way i understand both of them agree on the deadline, and bioware is just as responsiable for me3 as is ea. da2 i liked immensely just thought it needed more time.

Yeah I hope they go that route, it would serve as a great bridge to Origins, Hawke will likely already be involved but a reason to get the Wardens and/or Ferelden involved would be nice too.
My guess is that the Tevinter mages get to know there's a kid with semi-godly powers walking around and they involve themselves because they want to get a hold of this omnipotent child, who itself is still largely unaware of its powers. In the meantime the tensions between Templars and Mages climax and they both end up in a great war (the war zone shown in the trailer). Maybe the protagonist comes from Orlais and is asked by Morrigan to protect her child. Which then leads me to think the Warden from Origins would actually be an excellent choice for the protagonist of this game. Hmm, it's something to ponder.
@Cheesebelly: Wasn't that an option you could choose? And even if the Warden did that, Morrigan might be desperate...She's still an apostate, afterall. I don't think she's got many friends, nor would her attitude make her great friends, so to speak. Also, I don't know whether the Witch Hunt DLC is actually considered canon by Bioware.
Baldur's Gate 1 - Tazok died, why is he still here? Baldur's Gate 2 - Ok Tazok, seriously.... Kotor - I'm a girl! SWTOR - why did my girl grow a beard? DA:O - I like Merrill, she's very determined! DA:O - I killed Leliana, finally. DA2 - Wait, that pseudo-alien elven shy monster is Merrill? DA2 - Leliana? I cut your head off!
@Cheesebelly: Ughhh, don't remind me of the cheap anime clones that were Merrill and that silver-haired emo guy with lyrium scars (forgot his name). Or any of the DA 2 characters, actually.
I would normally agree with you @shawne, but just because there is one person involved whose curriculum is 1000% better than anyone else, it doesn't necessarily mean the product delivered will be good. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad either.
@Cheesebelly: It comes down to what you value when you play a game. For me, the most important thing is story/characters - I loved DA2 because I loved my Hawkes and all my party members (well, maybe not Sebastian), and I enjoyed the "episodic" nature of the plot. Having to go through the same cave system five or six times was an acceptable flaw in comparison to that. So if DA3 delivers on that level - and with Gaider at the helm, it has a good chance of doing so - I'll be satisfied. Better environments/gameplay would just be a bonus.
@shawne: Wow, you got low expectations for Bioware games then. I honestly would feel cheated out of my 60 euros if I only got one damn cave to explore multiple times. At least Origins still offered various decently looking areas and environments.

That's your problem. As I just said, I prioritize depth of story over pretty pictures.

DA2 had neither pretty pictures, nor a deep story, however.

Huh...
Oh well.
The baby would be like 8(?) years old when DA2 ends, if DA3 is longer into that, he could still technically be "old enough".
Every anime character is a hero at 15-16 tops anyway
For all that predator-wannabe's baddassery(or whatever), his teeth could be used in a Colgate advertisement lol.
(leaving this here as a badge of shame if someone points out a codex referencing the AVP rejects)

Things we both basically knew in Origins.
