I've been on an Adele kick lately. Not to mention, seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer has made me look up the Blue Suede version of "Hooked on a Feeling":
Fallout New Vegas did something real bad to me, I have started to like the old country music that plays in the game. Country music does not grace my CD collection nor does my radio get it. Damn you New Vegas!
@LadyRhian Well that I didn't know! The more you know! Greensleeves is still my strongest memory linked with a game.
Am I the only one who sometimes links two unrelated items? For example, when I first got ToB I was eating pikelets with jam and whipped cream. Now when I play ToB I really want them or have them already. I used to have this handsoap that is now forever linked to Guild Wars for me. (Jesus I'm weird, I should never have brought this up!) Hahahah!
Hm, I was revisiting an old playlist I had made of eerie music, as I've been playing some Fallen London recently, and comparing the deletions to my Winamp version of the playlist it seems like there has been a focused purge on YouTube of IWD and BG music. Most disturbing.
EDIT: There were links in this post but they refuse to appear. : /
I used to be really into filk music, which is sort of sci-fi folk music. Some is done like Weird Al does, new words to old tunes, and some is just gorgeously well-written stuff. Most of what I have my character play in the "Alaundo's Alehouse" thread is filk, but here is some more wonderful stuff.

so... going into college it felt like things have went so fast and I just had to have a bit of nostalgia as this next stage of my life begins and rewatched a few classic Disney movies to just feel like a child again, most notably for my song contribution of today, The Lion King. My need to watch this was probably also influenced by watching Frozen for the first time this summer (after like a half year of hearing about it I broke and gave in. still, I don't regret that decision), breaking a 5+ year hiatus from movies, and left me needing to remember the origins of Disney animated. When I was actually watching I teared a bit (hard to make me do. I stayed strong as Mordin died in ME3...) because the piece is beautiful and after it was all done I paused and said to myself "I don't remember this song! how could I forget something so wonderful?" Unfortunately little me couldn't appreciate such a love song like it could the fun "Hakuna Matata" I guess. I find it has got to my absolute favorite love song I've ever heard, and honestly perhaps my absolute favorite Disney song ever (yes, even over Let it Go), and yet I didn't realize that until I took this nostalgia trip.
Vast armies have arrived. Now, three houses fight for control of Dune. The noble Atreides, the insidious Ordos, and the evil Harkonnen. Only one house will prevail. Your battle for Dune begins... now.
Great how some of these tunes can take you back, those terran tracks were great. I'll always love this tune, coming out of the lift, maybe on the second level of Quake 2.

And for Video Games it would have to be Wii Sports.
And the original B.J. Thomas version, with all that lovely Sitar!:

But yeah, say whatever else you want to about the prequels, but the music was spot on.
