i should be smart enough to realize that taking a video to record a song will go way beyond the forums file size limit! oh well, was going to share some starbound music
ive noticed that alot of people play diablo 2 music here, i wonder why? XD SO MUCH AWESOME so here is some more though to save time we should just post the full OST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zehZBjXiVPw
((i would do spoilers but the videos weren't working and now they do so forgive the big posts))
warning: if you have not yet played and have the desire to play the Telltale Games Walking Dead Season 2 then do not open the spoiler tag and play the video. if you have played, watched, or have no desire, you could see how a simple, short, repeating track can set a really awesome mood during an action scene. also the scene is just amazing and doesn't need the music to make it so
some more Mass Effect because I have been just having a nostalgic feel with the Mass Effect starbound mod. I swear I will play that again someday soon, and it will be good to reunite with Tali after 2 years, despite the inevitible ending. hearing the music in all this time brings a tear to my eye
OMG! OMG! FF6 and Chrono Trigger!! AND scars of time! WOW, this brings back so much memories.
In the old days, we learned to appreciate classical music by playing games! lol Damn I threw out my SNES system when I was 18. It was old and dusty yet that was the dumbest thing I've ever done:(
Your topic is wrong. Video game music should be differentied from 'video game music made out of real instruments'
And yes, I am saying that video game music needs to sound like it's coming out of a game machine program for it to be video game music. If it's just something recorded with real instruments and put over a game, it's a soundtrack, and it usually sucks ass.

Starcraft music is a classic!
The Touhou series has some great music. People play the games just for the songs, that's how great they are.
And there are soooo many remixes for Touhou music, spanning just about every genre.
[spoiler]
the song below reminds me of war of the worlds musical- THE CHANCES OF ANYTHING COMING FROM MARS-
the song below is from a game i bought for £1 mechwarrior 4 mercenaries, and was blown away at how addicting this game was
