Second link isn't a music compilation but its instead a playthrough. It gives a good idea of some of the variety between the different areas jingles in the game though.
@Tresset, in answer to your question, yes, I've played all the Homm games quite a bit, except for Ubisoft's V and VI. I played V about half way through the campaign, but I never finished it. I just couldn't stay interested, because Ubisoft somehow spoiled the spirit of the game for me. I never even bought VI.
But the New World Computing series, Homm I through Homm IV, are favorites of mine, especially for Paul Romero's music soundtracks.
@belgarathmth Yes, Ubisoft did a good job at ruining the series. By the way, how did you like the ridiculous look of the creatures in HoMM5? Especially the gargoyles and the liches?
@Shandyr, without having looked at your answer, I recognize that as the plains terrain theme from Homm2. I've spent many, many hours pondering my moves with that wonderful piece playing on my headset. This version seems to have updated instrumentation and mixing, though.
This music is *fanatastic*. Is HoMM6 worth playing now? When I played the demo years ago, it was so unfinished, they didn't even have town screens in the game! So, I never bought it. Your post is making me think I may want to get back into HoMM again, and maybe give HoMM6 a try. I still haven't finished HoMM5 - I stopped with the dark elf warlock's scenario, but have played Isabel, the demon who is in love with her, and the necromancer.
Sigh, so many games to play, so little time! And I have *way* more leisure time than most people. Even playing six to eight hours a day, three days a week (always Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but sometimes I also get a Tuesday off), I *still* can't get enough time to try out all the gaming ideas I have floating around in my head.
BTW, even though I've criticized Ubi's HoMM5 a lot, and never could stay interested long enough to finish the campaign, one piece of music from it really stands out - the battle music!
I *love* this battle music theme! Well, shoot, now I'm wanting to spend my day off tomorrow resuming my HoMM5 run. And I just got started on an IWD2 that I've been journaling in another thead. What to do, what to do?
I especially love the music that starts at about 1:01. It reminds me of Tchaikovsky's Mouse King battle music from the Nutcracker, which I always used to get a kick out of playing every Christmas with the symphony, because it has a really cool viola part.

Dungeon Siege music also by Jeremy Soule
Michael Hoenig did some good stuff too. What game could possibly be in this spoiler tag?
Someone mentioned Myst? Here is Myst 2: Riven
@belgarathmth You ever play Heroes of Might and Magic 3? It's my mom's favorite game.
I have resisted the temptation to put walls of Pokemon music on here but I can hold back no longer.
Pokemon Colosseum
Ehh, that's enough for now. Maybe more later.
