What about Anomen's illegal dual class to cleric? Whenever I use him I change his wisdom to something respectable. 12 is a rather pathetic wisdom for a cleric.
You know it goes up to a reasonable amount if you do his quest right?

He still wouldn't be allowed to duel to cleric, though. Tis against the rules.
...Having said that, I just rule Anomen as special in his own snowflake way. Justifying how he's still worshipping Helm as a CN character takes all my time; how he dueled to cleric with 12 wisdom is something else entirely.
@scriver Odd. I've had Imoen die in Irenicus' Dungeon before. she somehow ended up on the surface regardless though.
I'm...picturing a REALLY creepy Skyrim-esque rendition of her (well, Alyson Hannigan dressed as her) laying in an awkward position that only Ragdoll Physics will allow a humanoid body to fall in, and following CHARNAME around...and occasionally saying something. And then when we leave the dungeon, uhh...well, everything is back to normal! Except my psyche, which was destroyed the first time I fell through Azeroth.

There are rp choices you can make to improve that btw... Follow his storyline.
I'm ok with it if it adds flavor. I even EEkeeper my charname, recently made gladiator-themed gnome stalker, gave him one use of the barbarian rage per day to better fit my vision.
Yes - provided there are counterbalancing incentives not to add them to the party.
Edwin has his extra spells but is a specialist that lacks Detect Invisibility or True Sight. Were he a general mage I think he would be unacceptably powerful. As a conjurer he is very well maximized, but being evil gives him another counterbalance since parties tend towards good in my view. And he doesn't get along with other excellent choices like Mazzy. He's borderline but fine.
Coran doesn't have any major reasons not to include him. His thief skills aren't amazing when you pick him up, but he's really an archer anyway. And a pretty insane one for BG1. He doesn't have any qualities to me that would make me consider not choosing him. He seems to get along with everybody. Even having my main character as an archer, he's still an auto-include. He's just too pushed in the stat department.

Edit: Ah. It goes to 16... I guess that is good enough...

Edit: Or maybe an ability to create a limited amount of +5 arrows/day to make him/her viable late game.

Plus, that voice.
