Take him in the party with Edwin and Keldorn, through the entire game. He is by far one of the funniest, subtlest NPCs BioWare has written. Almost every one of his lines has more than one meaning.
Cernd's personality split from him, when he tried to become immortal, and now roams the Kingdoms of men with a dark hood, and red eyes, waiting to prey on Charname.
Cernd's split personality is known as Hexxat, probably referring to "Where the heck's (my personality) at?" or for short, "Where the Hexxat".

Half-tempted. Though I might mod him into a totemic druid first.
this is actually apt because i look like mr. burns
You don't look like Rasaad?
I always have this problem with devs on forums. I remember being somehow surprised on the Bioware boards when i discovered that Mike Laidlaw didn't actually look like Loghain.
just wait until hit my stride in ToB and start exploding people
That's the last 5th of the game at best, Phil. You need to sell yourself better. Exploding Fists are all well and good, but we have Trent and his blackguardy ways and your friend's wild magic to pick from and both are looking more attractive at present. XD

Don't troll the newbies @LiamEsler! They will get in unstoppable rage when Edwin start to fight keldorn and get killed, throwing all their efforts in build a mage on the trash!! Well... that would be fun in fact!
Best party for BG2 ppl:
Aerie, chaotic Neutral Anomen, Keldorn (or minsc), edwin and Viconia. There's no mistake with this one, it's for win XD!!!

Cernd is one of my favourite characters.

I'm not even kidding, I'm Rasaad. Also Trent is Dorn.
We have a portrait that we didn't end up using of my head, in a turban, but with Trent's forearms. It was... startling.
Rasaad in BG:EE would probably manage to miss his stride.
