Which of the two are you most excited or anxious for?

As the titles suggests. Which of the two are you most excited or anxious for? Is there one in particular that is holding you back from playing BG1:EE? This isn't meant to add some pressure to the devs or for people to start a flame war, I'm just curious.

I'd prefer the patch. So much waiting patiently. So much multiplayer I have to get on with my friends.

I am currently waiting for the patch to come through before starting my full run through.

Also, the one I am most eager for is missing from the poll - Android.

I kinda want to see all the kinks worked out of BGEE first. Everytime I almost finish the game they release another patch which modifies the existing game and I feel compelled to restart. That's not a bad thing but I feel that if I don't restart then I'll miss out on some new content.

The patch I guess. Because without it, we'll never see whenever the new BG:EE GUI or @Archaic 's upcoming custom GUI version looks better. :P And it will hopefully pique the lost interest of @Requiem and @Mordeus in BG:EE once again. I just can't life without my Amorphous of Ghaunadaur anymore!

I'm saving up all my excitement concerning BG2:EE for the November, where I have finally 20 weekdays off from work to enjoy it to the fullest. >:D

I need me some patching, some Androiding, and some BG2:EE'ing. Gimme gimme gimme!!

The patch, because it doesn't cost me anything (or, arguably, because I've already paid for it).

Definetly the patch, since I want at least one (almost?) completely bugfree run through the game before importing my char into BG2EE.

I never really got into BG1 the way I got into BG2. Fixes and everything is nice, but I'm ready to have me some high-level play now!

I would say bg2:ee, but I play on iPad, so the patch is more important.

How will the patch affect story content, other than fixing bugs?

The patch will be nice enough, but I'm really more excited about certain mods being made compatible with the game than the patch itself, BGEE is already fully playable and very tweakable.

The release of the sequel however will finally give some first impressions on how the complete series handles and feels as one integrated experience.

I really wanted to pick the option..

    SPELLS NOT BELLS!

    But never mind...

The patch, because I wish to resume my playthrought then. I'm not so excited about Baldur's Gate 2, Enhanced Edition, because there is no telling how the game is going to work at the release day.

BG2EE, because I have five characters waiting in the wings and I want to get back to all of them. The patch is definitely cool, but it's just not as important to be as the sequel.

I am looking forward to the patch, because I love patch day!
I am looking forward to BGII: EE, because then I can find mai waifu Neera all over again.

Well, I never really liked using bells in Final Fantasy games...they were always stat-sticks to me, or last-ditch effort-sticks...

I'm looking forward to BG2:EE and the patch.

BG2:EE!!! I can't see myself doing another play-through of BG:EE for another year or two.

I said BG2EE, but it's close. I got so excited by the Dragon Disciple kit when it was released, but I've had mine on ice since last patch when I realized that the breath weapon was bugged. I've been waiting for that fix for so long...

I'm guessing this was the right option for the Android release ?

I am waiting on BG2:EE to come out before starting a full run. I imagine that the patch will come out first, so I guess my answer is neither and both.

"Go not to the elves for advice for they will say both no and yes."

The big BG2:EE patch that is going to tie the games together just like Trilogy does.
  • TetraploidTetraploid Member Posts: 252
Don't get me wrong, I am pretty darn excited for BG2:EE. But I have been putting off BG:EE for ages now, thinking I'll start a new character as soon as the patch comes out, and all these delays mean that right now, I am super keen to finally have it!

Both. Obviously ) "Pretty much equally for both" +1 ftw! //
Both equally as intriguing.. the final ice on cake for bg1ee (so long awaited.. android users would like too..another one later too btw! ^^ )... and obviously bg2ee for the real full monty and saga fun.. ). :*)

I even interrupted my current v2014 run just a little after the entry in Baldur's Gate.. just for the new patch curiosity..if that will change somthg or not for the char .. will see. */

I don't know - I imagine not much if at all. But given that I'm much less likely to replay 1 than 2, I want to make sure I have the best experience of it. Story content isn't the only thing about the game.

I'm not at all suggesting it's unplayable.

I'm waiting for both the patch and BG2:EE. I'm sick of the lags in cutscenes of BG:EE!
  • SharGuidesMyHandSharGuidesMyHand Member Posts: 2,582
The patch for me, because I'm delaying starting a new game of BG1 until it comes out.

ToEE: EE, with added multiplayer and a module creator.

I just want to do another play through but I keep putting it off because of this damn upcoming patch. I hear it won't be out of beta till late October. I just want to play it bug free (or as few bugs as possible) before I start playing BG2EE. Of course since BG2EE is scheduled for November launch, we probably won't see it release until 2014. You do remember what happened when BGEE was supposed to be released don't you? A few days before release...'oh btw, it's gonna be another month lolz' rage ensues.

Don't take me too seriously though. I do love the EE. Where would I be if I didn't have something to complain about?
