    BG1 version looks vile ^^ he reminds me a bit of a dwarf in the BG2 version...

    BG1, the BG2 one has too much swag.

    It'd be the second one if it wasn't for that damn nose ring chain. It ruins the picture imo.

    @deltago: I believe the nose-chain was a nice touch. It is perfectly in line with the character and his enormous ego. Let's not forget in BG2 he really addresses CHARNAME and his/her party like if he were addressing underlings: "You simians may simply refer to me as "sir", if you prefer a less syllable-intensive word". In BG1 it was pretty much the same, but you have to consider that between adventures he might have gained in status within the Red Wizards (also reflected by the fact that in the BG1 portrait you clearly see two rings on his fingers, while in the BG2 one he has three) and we all know how much RW like to show off. Hence, the nose-chain and the more refined clothing, the extra ring, the much more elegant head-band, the... beard...rings...whatever he's wearing on his mustaches.

    I prefer BG1 because I like the colors more. BG2 is a little too boring for me.

    BG2. The BG1 portrait has too much sparkle for my tastes.

    I like the 2nd one more. To be honest I...when I first started baldur's gate I was expecting the red mage to be buried in tatoos and a shaved head with a look like *I am your doom kind of character*....but edwin is fun. But I like Edwina more :D.

    BG2, easy. It just has a much more obliviously conceited look in my view.

    BG1 picture just doesn't match with Edwin's personality and his voice.

    The BG1 pic looks more badass. The sequel's fits his character better.

    The BG2 portrait bothers me because he seems to be wearing some kind of helmet under his hood, which is just weird. Also, his robe is more pink than red.

    I like both but the BG1 portrait is my flavourite. I like the more realistic appearance of it.

    He looks all puffy in the BG2 version.
