I think you are right, but it seems that animations are faster than what you said, like 1 every 1.5s. So, in a round (6s), there are 4 attack animations and only one is a real attack. However, why do low level creatures have more attacks per round than my mid level characters? If those animations are fake attacks, it should hold the same for them. But, for some reason, all their attacks result in a message on the console.

I wonder why the message about a spell being already known isn't displayed when checking vendors.. you still have to manually check every spell to decide whether to buy it or not. Quite annoying.

@Dee I cannot make a new thread in this forum.... kind of weird.

I encountered a bug where if the protagonist familiar dies, the game ends.
I could not find it in the known issues list. Here is how I recreate the issue.

    1. Start a new game as a mage with find familiar spell memorised.
    2. Protagonist is at full health.
    3. Summons a familiar (any alignment will do).
    4. Attack it until it dies (or have the watchers kill it).
    5. Screen will grey out
    6. The protagonist seems to get some damage
    7. The Protagonist death video shows.
    8. Game over.

I do not think the protagonist is dealt too much damage to die, but I think the familiar is interpreted as protagonist.

I encountered this bug too on my fighter/mage with an Imp familiar. It's continues to be that way even at 5-th level in both classes, so it seems it's not about doing a fixed amount of damage to the caster or anything like that.
Well i was dying too but only at low-levels. Then it was ok ( on the last few days my familiar died like 3 times and i wasn't dead... yeah i know poor little imp) so i don't think it's a bug.

Make sure your HP left are ok to deal with the damage you got from a familiar's death. This damage is 1.5 x the bonus hp ytou got from him. SO if your familiar has 12 HP, you got a 6 HP bonus, and you lose 9 HP if he dies.

I just need to check something real quick:

Those of you experiencing this death issue--what is your Constitution score, currently?

@Dee. 12, 15, 18. It does not matter. I have tested several new characters with different scores.

    Okay, that's helpful to know.
