@booinyoureyes What do you mean by "compatible"? Most mods shouldn't have any common ground with it and work clueless of it's existance. It doesn't actively seek to shut off other romances like I've read some NPC mods do which makes it kind-of-compatible with romance tweak (it won't break it but will not be influenced by it that is). I didn't have any problems thus far, and I can't imagine what problems there could be.
So, I've tried again with Kindrek, with the link provided in this topic for the download. His character portrait appear smaller than the portrait box on the right, and he has no voice acting whatsoever, though i saw the audio files being installed. Any clues on what might be the problem ?
Also there's any tweak I can do to make him stop going berserk to single class spellcasters ?
could I use the "old" yeslick npc mod from bg 2 "normal" for playing with him in bg2 ee? the fact that I'd liked to play him would make the difference of buying bg2ee now or trying with the bg2 "normal". thanks for answering.
Here's a situation: I want to start the game with a blade from the Rogue Reblancing mod However, I want to install ascension and many other mods at a later date. The recommended install order seems to be problematic. Would starting now, then uninstalling RR when Ascension comes out, then installing ascension and re-installing RR be a good workaround? Or would that destroy everything?
@booinyoureyes When Ascension comes out, you'll have to uninstall and re-install all your other mods after Ascension, then start a new playthrough. Previous saves will most likely have errors, there is no guaranteed workaround.
@Foggy Does Ascension alter anything in SoA that requires to be there? Can I change my mod loudout (only increasing in size by Ascension probably) between them, and that start ToB with a loaded game?
@Foggy That specific order is recommended for Baldur's Gate II because the current version of the mod for ToB is not patching files but overwriting them, hence it must be first. Who knows how the new Ascension mod updated for BG2EE will operate?
@LiamEsler have more knowledge on the matter, he can confirm or correct this: Unless there are changes to the mod when it's released for EE, based on BG2 vanilla, Ascension is a mod that overwrite ToB files, it doesn't touch SoA (you might want to hold on Sarevok's Sword of chaos). When Ascension is made compatible with EE you'll have to re-install all mods with Ascension taking precedence.
Since Ascension is first in the list the change in order would alter the saved game. So if you plan on continuing with the same playthrough you started before installing Ascension: Do not include modded NPC in your party, else they will be unusable after re-installing, or have errors at best. Do not use a modded kit for your PC unless you want to EE keeper your save to change kits after the new mods install. Make a save before the hell trials, then put the game on hold til Ascension update.
Edit: Cuv and other awesome modders are actively working on changing Ascension to patch EE files rather than overwrite them, this could change the mod install order and improve compatibility with SCS.
I'm using some parts of the tweak pack for BG2EE, specifically that stops npcs from leaving due to morale. Now I have heard that this modification regarding REP does not apply to the new NPCs, like Dorn or Hexxat. Is there anyway to tinker around with BG2EE at the moment to stop Dorn or Hexxat to leave the party in case the rep touches the 18 mark ? I know it requires some small micro management to keep rep at bay, but still it kinda annoyes me, i'd like to have those two in my party without worrying about them leaving out of the blue.
@kaldgord It might have been an anomaly, but I too used that Tweak Pack component and found Hexxat rather cooperative. She does not leave the party on reputation equal 20 for quite some time. As long as you do not kick her out you should be fine, and I'd suspect it's the same with Dorn. Inviting to the party though will not work (separate check it seems)
@triclops41 I seem to remember seeing someone working on Ascension talking about needing help with Weidu recently. So yeah, the work is in progress and asking for release date is most likely pointless under "when it's done" paradigm... Though I too would like to hear some insight into how is it progressing.
I saw them asked about earlier on the list, so I went ahead and checked a few myself.
Second, Tyris Flair (http://www.gibberlings3.net/tyris/). Works just fine out of the box, for me. Ran both her and Sheena for the sake of trying to test both as well as I could, and suffered no glaring issues. Without a lot more man hours for testing, I doubt I can find much game-breaking in them, as I tried most of the obvious things. As above, I can't guarantee that it is 100%, but I'm through SoA with both of them, and I had no issues related to either.
Did the romance work/trigger for you? The variables aren't even showing up in my save file.
My game also hard crashes when she tries to talk to Viconia.
Yeah, figured. Just getting close to the end of SoA and itching to start ToB. I guess I'll have to just start my next BGEE 1&2 char and have 2 guys ready for ToB when the time comes.

@triclops41 So are you going to uninstall all mods and start over with ascension when the time comes? I'm just wondering if after what I've heard @foggy say that it might not work very well...
Without further information, I answered according to BG2 vanilla knowledge. Assuming that won't change since Liam placed Ascension at the top of the mods list in first page, and he's part of a team led by Cuv working on updating the mod.
Classic BG2 Ascension overwrites files rather than patching them, it might be safe to plan just SoA runs for now, one can't look at the game for days without playing, and I too have several characters that finished SoA put on hold in the hope that I can make the transition to ToB Acension as smoothly as possible without starting over, since it's a ToB mod.
Edit: The delay in Ascension update is probably due to the modders changing the files to be patched rather than overwritten, this could change the need to install Ascension before any other mod. Any new information would be greatly appreciated.
Is anyone working on the Ninde NPC? I always wanted to try her. Her portrait and intro seemed awesome and I always wanted to make the most of necromancy spells (always played a goody-goody and Horrid Wilting seemed very... un-Imoenlike)
EDIT: Nevermind I'm an idiot and I just missed it for some reason when installing my mods... Shucks
if I install it at the end will it cause problems? I installed the BGII tweakpack and Roge Rebalancing. i really want Ninde.

@Emmi Just waiting on the new version to be uploaded.

And what with G3Crossmod banter pack? Is there a chance to see it compatible with BG2EE any time soon?
