@Jalily: Can you add to the top post if not already there?

Cult of the Unseeing Eye Quest Does not Fire (i.e. The Quest Giver Never Talks with you or the priest doesn't appear in the temple to give you the actual quest.)
    -------------------------------------------------------

Scenario 1: Gaal disturbance has happened but your temple contact didn't ask for help.
Make sure you are in the temple district exterior
Copy/paste this command into the console
    C:GetGlobal("GaalSpoke","AR0900")
A value of 2 means they are believed to have asked for help. Resetting it to 1 should see them turn up.
    C:SetGlobal("GaalSpoke","AR0900",1)
    They should talk to you

Scenario 2: Your temple contact asked for help but hasn't turned up at the temple.
Make sure you are in your temple (normally Helm. Lathander if neutral cleric or Talos if evil cleric)
C:CreateCreature("bhoisig") in the temple of Helm; High Watcher Oisig
C:CreateCreature("bharval") in the temple of Lathander; High Mornmaster Arval
C:CreateCreature("bhnalla") in the temple of Talos; Stormherald Nallabir
You will probably need to talk to them

I have finally decided to try to active my Clua Console to make it easier to test custom characters and save me having to make loads of edits with Keeper.

I've made the changes as shown below...
    image

    ... but Ctrl+Space does nothing.

I guess it might have something to do with language (I also use Mandarin Chinese on this PC). But I'd rather not have to disable Chinese each time I want to use the console... is there any way around that problem, assuming that is the problem and I haven't just made a stupid error with the .ini file.

@Heindrich1988 have you tried doing it with CRTL+M, and with english as the language?

    @CrevsDaak

Ah Crevspenar is so helpful! Thanks mate. Worked instantly.

I guess someone already submitted that request, sorry for the duplicate.

Wouldn't it make sense to have the game option 'Enhanced Path Finding' '1' set by default ?
    At least for BG2EE.

@Jalily: Please Note in the Initial Post:

Yaga-Shura's Lair, Workaround for stairwell force field not being removed on the iPad.
    -------------------------
In Yaga-Shura's Lair, the player is forced to use a device in the center of the room to clear a force field covering the stairwell up to the next level.

On the iPad version, that force field does not COMPLETELY remove itself, even after clicking on the device. This does NOT happen on the Windows / MAC Versions, only the iPad.

After clicking on the device, some of the stairwell IS cleared, just not all of it. Clicking on steps 3 through about 6 will continue to give the "Force field" message, while clicking above about the 6th step will cause the party to move. To get past this problem, then, click up toward the top of the stairwell (at or close to the exit to the next level) and the character will walk over the "force fielded" area to exit up to the next level.

I've encountered the Lloyd missing problem on Baldur's gate 2 and was wondering if anyone could help. I also would like to know if there is any way I could use the CluaComsole on Baldur's Gate 2 using GemRB on the Let Pan S Android tablet.
  • wigglesgwigglesg Member Posts: 96
@Cruester94‌ not used gemrb myself but I'm assuming it will allow you to pop the keyboard up at any time. Also that youve already altered the "baldurs.ini" (if memory serves you need to add a line to the file to allow the console to be used, it is a looong time since I played. Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Im guessing your having trouble getting the console up because you dont have a "Ctrl" key on the keyboard you're using. If this is your problem try installing "Hackers Keyboard" which has most of the keys you find on a traditional keyboard (I think it's free, search for it in the store).

I have tried what you said @wigglesg‌ and it still doesn't work. I think it has something to do with the GemRG.cfg but I don't understand it.

I was playing the D'Arlise Keep and got the Fire head for the flail of the ages, but somehow when I went to my inventory to see it, it was gone, and I can't find the head anywhere. I just have the flail with the cold and acid heads. What's the code for the fire head?
  • jbstengeljbstengel Member Posts: 2
Concerning the inventory screen crashes after exiting the underworld, but if the issue is with you main character? How would you fix that for the BG2 Mac version?
  • LordLeviathanLordLeviathan Member Posts: 97
    Hi

I got the Minsc's low HP dialogue loops and put the file to fix it but he still do it.

    Any reasons why?
  • Gate70Gate70 Member, Developer Posts: 3,883
@LordLeviathan‌ can you give a bit more detail on exactly what you did. e.g. closed game down, downloaded file ?????.zip, unzipped, extracted to c:\pathname\etc., fired game up, loaded the save.
    Thanks
  • LordLeviathanLordLeviathan Member Posts: 97
I put the file in documents/baldur's gate 2/override

I unzipped in it but when I load my save, it's don't work.

I try a previous save but it don't seem to work either.

Also I did it for the harper's call bug but that one work.
  • Gate70Gate70 Member, Developer Posts: 3,883
I thought the location should be your game folder rather than documents.
    e.g. C:\BeamDog\Games\00783\Override for me

I did that but it didn't work.

So I don't know how to fix it.

edit: I think I fix it but I am not sure maybe I just need to restart the computer first before it work.

Let's hope I fix it permanently.

Thank you all for your help.

    Thread for my issue: forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/32886/viconia-underdark-repeating-dialogue

Short version, Viconia won't stop repeating the same banter. I'm not sure if it's tied to Underdark (where I am), but I'm in the middle of the 3 portals quest and she keeps repeating dialogue no matter how I react. Disabled both banter mods I had, used your console command recommendation in OP, killed/rezzed, nothing seems to stop her. I'll try and CC in Anomen or Aerie as a replacement, no big loss, but thought you should know. Thanks for reading!

    I am back again.

I have the same issue with Minsc but this time I think I know what trigger it.

he only do this when he leave berserk mode and only in certain places.

I don't know how to fix it with the console.

I thought Gate70 could fix it, like he fix my keldorn issue.

Also I have minor issues with banters.

All my npc keep repeating the same ones, keldorn and Minsc, Aerie and Jaheira, Aerie to me.

they are not advancing in the banters, they are saying the same ones over and over.

My primary concern is Minsc but if someone can tell me how to fix the banters too I would be happy about that.

Here are the saves before and after.

edit: problem fix sorry to post in wrong topic for that.

Excerpt from the pdf manual (http://www.beamdog.com/files/bg2ee/bg2eemanual2.pdf)

    Strength Modifiers

A character’s Strength can modify the die roll, altering both the chance to hit and the damage
    caused.
This modifier is always applied to MELEE attacks.
Certain missile weapons (throwing axes, throwing daggers, and slings) receive the character’s Strength modifier to damage, but NOT to attack rolls

As you may or may not know, some weapons like Sling of Seeking and ALL THROWING AXES are flagged as "Add Strength Bonus" (which as for melee weapons, adds BOTH STR DAMAGE & THAC0 bonuses), and they should only use the STR Damage bonus, not the THACO.

Some others are simply not flaggued at all (like Throwing Daggers) and ONLY USE DEXTERITY THACO Bonus (they don't use the STRENGTH DAMAGE BONUS)

So I fixed those errors, with Near Infinity (see this thread http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/24761/7152-core-throwing-daggers-not-adding-strength )

Throwing daggers now get STRENGTH Damage bonus (and still get THACO bonus from DEXTERITY)

    DAGG05 : Throwing Dagger
    DAGG11 : Boomerang Dagger +2
    DAGG12 : Firetooth +3
    DAGG16 : Poisoned Throwing Dagger

Sling of Seeking now only get STRENGTH Damage Bonus, the THAC0 bonus was removed (other Slings unchanged, they acted like this already) , still get DEXTERITY THAC0 bonus.

    SLNG07 : Sling of Seeking +1

Edited all Throwing Axes, to only get STRENGTH Damage Bonus. Removed STRENGTH THAC0 bonus. They should get DEXTERITY THAC0 bonus like intended

    AX1H04 : Throwing Axe
    AX1H05 : Throwing Axe +2
    AX1H06 : Throwing Axe +2
    AX1H08 : Hangard's Axe +2
    AX1H09 : Rifthome Axe +3
    AX1H10 : Azuredge +3
    AX1H16 : K'logarath +4

Just unzip Thrown weapons Strength thaco removed.zip into your Override folder

@Hyunckel‌ the issues with the daggers and with the Sling of Seeking is known and will be fixed in the next patch. I think that the axes are an inconsistency in the Manual (it's much more probable).

I'm quite new around, both on the forums and the games in general, didn't play original BG2.

1/ Where can I see what is going to be fixed in next patch ?

2/ Did Throwing Axes add STR Damage bonus, THACO, both, and / or DEX THAC0 bonus ?

    1) You can find all that was reported in this forums here: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/26099 to see other issues that were internally reported you'll have to be a Beta tester or a developer.

    2) They did, since all the time this game and previous versions were up.

I already consulted the thread you linked. And it was in that thread that I noticed the Throwing Daggers discrepancies.

But no word about Sling of Seeking granting STR THAC0 bonus whereas they said they removed it in recent patch (true for all other slings aside this particular one still flagged as "Add Strength Bonus")

Since I'm not a Beta Tester or Developper I'm outta luck then :)

You didn't answer correctly, I was asking if Throwing Axes were receiving STR THACO, or DEX THACO , or BOTH.

    Thanks anyway I guess :)

Throwing Axes will receive Strength to Damage, and Dexterity to THAC0.

I'm having a problem getting Hexxat's romance to start. I have a Lawful Evil female character and have gotten all the way to chapter 6 and have completed all her quests without any dialogue starting. I tried the console command SetGlobal("HexxatLovetalksTimer","GLOBAL",1) but I don't know if it worked. Should the conversation start immediately? Do I have to sleep or wait 90 minutes real time? I tried to use the GetGlobal("HexxatLovetalk","GLOBAL") command to check if I had actually set it, but it doesn't seem to return any value as far as I can tell. Not really sure what else I can try at this point. So far I haven't seen any threads that have this exact problem, but I apologize if it's been answered elsewhere. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I am, for obvious reasons, unwilling to start over at this point.

Nevermind, I realized that I had neglected to put CLUAConsole before the console commands. Oops.
